Introduction

A number of us are privileged to know the Saviour of the Lord which we praise God for. However, there remain several others who are not yet part of this wonderful love of the Lord. They too need to taste and see how good the love of the Lord is. God Bless those who are praying, giving or participating in any form to assist in getting the love of God extended to these ones. Kenya Update – Mar 2014

Eric Stephens and Barry Darnall had an opportunity to visit Kenya from 5th – 17 March 2014. The team spent time in Maasai region with visits to Noosikitok, Lositeti, Enkokidongoi, Lumbwa, Noontoto, Karero, Enoosampurrmpurr and visited Amboseli Park as well.

The team participated in a number of activities: meeting Church leaders from the Baptist Association and shared about Church leadership, donating sanitary pads to Enoosampurrmpurr and Noontoto Schools, donating Maasai Bibles and Chairs to Karero Church, text books to Lumbwa. The team participated in Lunch feeding program at Noosiktiok Shool, and finally a park drive at Amboseli National Park.

Sanctity of Human Life

The Enkokidongoi Church organized youth training on 25th – 26th January 2014 on the Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL). The youth were trained on sexual purity, abortion and media influence. Mr. Jimmy Wambua, a young man who had a poor background but after receiving support was able to focus in life and now lives a different life and is self-employed, shared about “challenges in life”. Over 100 youth from the Baptist churches in Kajiado region attended.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor…” (Luke 4:18)

Jesus said he came to “preach the gospel” but then he states that he came to release the captives, give sight to the blind and set the oppressed free. That goes way beyond a formula.

Saying God loves you from a bumper sticker or Facebook post is not enough.

As a Christian, we must make it our lifelong and joyful ambition to serve others, to be a conduit for God’s miracles, to comfort the brokenhearted, to fight injustice, to weep with those who mourn and to truly love people the way Jesus did.

I believe this is what it means to preach the gospel! May God help us.

One of the greatest things I have learned as I have traveled into Africa on behalf of Unite 4 Africa and a partner organization, LIFE International, is how tender the peoples’ hearts are toward our Lord.  

Unlike some other places I have been, these Christian men and women would rather hear about Jesus than just about anything else.  This desire includes a preference to learn what is on Jesus’ heart and apply it to their lives.

Unite4Africa strives to share who God is along with His love and truth with all people. This is the reason Unite4Africa exists. What we want more than anything is to offer the world a chance to respond to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Your partnership has and will continue to increase the positive movement we are seeing as God’s people join together to transform lives for Christ throughout the world.

There are literally billions of Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists who have yet to hear the Good News of Jesus. We often find ourselves wishing, hoping, and praying that we could do more to show them the Kingdom of God. But be encouraged.

1. The Mailitisa water well project is continuing with the fixing of the water tank support structure underway. We are praying and hoping the project is completed soon, so as to allow the community access to the water. We thank God for the contactor who agreed to complete the structure and installations pending payment!

Introduction

From the land of Ghana in West Africa we rejoice that we are made part of what the Lord has done to offer mankind the opportunity to be adopted as sons who are no longer slaves but heirs through God. We greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Update of Water Project

To God be the glory great things He has done. Technically, work on the Rain Water Harvesting Tanks construction for the Kpaachehi community has completed.
