The Adiboo hub started the year which promises to be an action year with planting of a new church at Kpaachehi near Adiboo. Like any other communities in Dagbong, Kpaachehi is predominantly a Muslim community which is hostile to Christianity. The church was established under the leadership of Pastor Paul Salifu who is also the Hub leader for Adiboo. The church currently has a membership of about 37.

We hope you are encouraged when reading Unite 4 Africa’s monthly field updates. Our goal is to keep you abreast of the ongoing work and opportunities in Africa. We praise God for the change we have been able to affect as He uses Unite 4 Africa to accomplish His ongoing work.
U4A has provided for mosquito nets in Lumbwa and Enoosampurrmpurr schools in this region. The two schools have dormitories for girls. The mosquito nets provided have reduced tremendously the malaria infection in the last three months since the mosquito nets were issued. The head teacher for Enoosampurrmpurr, Mr. Godfrey, notes that because of the mosquito nets and sanitary towels provided by U4A, the girls’ performance has improved, absenteeism is no more, and they have not had a single case of malaria in the past 3 months. Actually, the school emerged top in the last National exam in Namanga Division!
The head teacher of Noosikitok, Mr Naingola has placed an appeal to U4A and friends to assist with this terms’ School Feeding Program. He says they have a shortage and are anticipating hard times that will subject the students to absenteeism and non- concentration. We are appealing for the support and praying that all goes well with the children in the quest to transform the area through education.
God has done tremendous things in our midst even in the month of December. Churches are being planted, ministers are being trained, our schools are keep continuing shaping the lives of the children. The following activities are among the many.
So far we have only the Wanjishawa school that operates in our region. But now, our churches in the towns called Welenchity and Donni have opened KG schools for their community.
A New Year has begun and it is with sincere thanks that we at Unite 4 Africa look back at what was accomplished in 2012 with your help.
We have begun the process of purchasing a bus to provide transportation to ministry groups and others who travel to Kenya. This enterprise will be self-sustaining and will provide income for some of our ground staff in Kenya.
The Maasai area is being destabilized now with the droughts setting in. This means there is scarcity of water and the people and their animals have to walk long distances looking for water. Lets pray for Lositeti and the rest of the regions for the rains.
The Pastors fellowship organized a peace prayer rally that brought all churches and political leaders together to pray for peace in Maasai land. In attendance were about 3000 Maasais who pledged to live peacefully. This campaign comes since Kenya experienced post election violence that saw the loss of lives, displaced families and destruction of properties.
Enkokidongoi Church received six converts. They joined the church and two of the men re-dedicated their lives to Christ. We pray God will keep them strong and use them to influence more people come and experience Christ
Olmanie Primary School received sanitary pads. The school is far from the main road and one has to go through Tanzania in Namanga. The school head teacher was grateful and hopes the pads will keep the girls in school
Karero Primary School received a water tank from Unite 4 Africa in conjunction with Rotary Club of Rio Rico. The Tank will store water for cooking, drinking and cleaning the school.
The ugly hand of terrorists is still traumatizing Kenyans and this time two churches experienced grenade explosions and gun fires simultaneously killing 17 people and injuring others. Masked assailants raided AIC church and Catholic Church in Garrissa on a Sunday while on the service; they shot the congregation at will and hurled grenades at them. The Government is pledging to protect everyone in the worshipping grounds so that this heinous act is not repeated. We pray for peace and that God can protect his people from attack while in Church
In June newsletter updates, we reported on a water project U4A Ghana was supporting a partner church, thus Shalom Baptist Church at Tarikpaa to implement. Along the line we ran out of funds to complete the project. I made a prayer request to you and you really prayed. Now we have had some funds to complete the project.
The continuation of work has begun from where we stopped and moving steadily. Below are the pictures of the progress of work on the water project.
The rains have started pouring down seriously after a period of dryness which really affected and delayed crop farming. Most church planters are peasant farmers and are busy with their farms. It has also been extra difficult reaching out to them on phone, but I hope they are doing well. For the past four days I have constantly been on phone to reach out to hubs especially the Langbinsi and Nakpandure hubs where there has been a communal violence in the past weeks, but could not reach them. I trust God however, that they are doing well as you continue to pray for them.
The rains may also affect and cause a stop to the water project if the paths to the village get flooded and vehicles cannot move. It is for this reason that all our energies are directed towards finishing this project before anything happens.
As we gradually move towards the completion of this water project, there is a great sigh of relief. The devil has fought hard against this project; Muslims have gone ahead to that community biting into the ears of chiefs and other community leaders to kick against Christianity, telling them we are using the water project as a bait to induce them to accept Christianity. But in all of this, God has shown himself so strong, His mercy has abounded, His leading has been outstanding.
We ask you to continue to pray for northern Ghana, it is indeed deprived spiritually, socially and economically. It needs sacrificial and never giving up partners like you and I to salvage them from this socio-economic and spiritual dungeons.

Many people have agreed that the secret behind the continuation of the movement of Jesus is the right strategy he used. He called the disciples, taught, equipped & empowered them so that they wouldbe able to do what God has called them to do. Paul also used the same principle that was selecting the faithful believers and taught them the sound teachings of scriptures so that they will also be able to teach others. (2Tim 2: 2)
We, as Unite 4 Africa team here in Ethiopia, have been also using the same principle that was used by Jesus and the apostles. The harvest in our area is so reap and plenty and can’t be completed by few people only. That’s why we commit ourselves to train lay people as much as we can and send them to the harvest.
In the month of June we have conducted various trainings in our region. But, because of time and space I would like to share only two training events with you.
One was held in town called Asebeteferi and the other one was in Amaressa.
Assebeteferi is the capital town of the Western Hararge zone. This zone consists of 16 districts and nearly 2million people reside. 98% of the people in this zone are Muslims.
We have conducted leadership and bridges training in this strategic region from 19th to 22th of June/ 2012. The focus of the leadership training was to motivate them to become visionary leaders for their own community. And the focus of the bridges training was to show them how it is important to plant a church which is very contextual to the community they are serving.
132 leaders from 16 districts participated in the training. Most of them are from Muslim background.
The town Amaressa is found in Harari Region. 97.9% of the population in the Region is Muslim. We conducted a gospel campaign from 27th to 29th of June/2012. 22 people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviorand13 of them came from Muslim family.
Fatima is one of the new converts on that campaign. She is 24 years old and lives with her Mom. She came from the Muslim family. I experienced God and the love of Jesus has touched my heart while I was listening the Word of God and have decided to accept Jesus as my personal savior said Fatima after her conversion. But, she is scared because her uncle and older brothers are extreme Muslims and do not like her to be a Christian. So, she asked us a prayer request may God strengthen her in her faith in Christ.
Conclusion
God is always faithful to His words and promises. He has opened the door of salvation for Muslims in our country. I think this is a huge opportunity for us. So, we need to work together in our God – given time. I would also like to say thank all of you for your prayer and Support. Here under is our prayer request from our country Ethiopia.

Is with joy we are sending you our new about the work we are doing where by the grace of God.
We had leadership training in the month of April and 30 people attend it in my house.on the 09-april 2012 i had my 40 years ald anniverstry.
The 26 May 2012 we had water baptism and in the Night we had holy spirit baptism.
The U4A team from USA took a trip to visit the Wonji-Shoa Emmanuel Church School last march. The team has observed that the school is successfully serving the community in many ways.
569 students from nursery to sixth grade are currently enrolled and almost all of them come from extremely disadvantaged homes. And 25 jobs have been created. Our future goal is to offer classes through grade 10.
More than 90 children, and many of their family members, have committed their life to Christ as a result of the ministry of the school.

The team also discussed with the girls the ways that will expose them to sexual behaviors and they need to be wary of e.g. dressing mode, accepting gifts from men, coming home late. They emphasized that sex is for married couples.
The Langbinsi hub is situated in the north eastern corridors of the northern region of Ghana. It is about two and half (2.5) hours’ drive from Tamale. It shares boundaries with the Nakpandure hub which is further north of Langbinsi. The hub is led by Pastor Asher Mohammed Peter, the head pastor of the local Assemblies of God Church in the Langbinsi community.
About two weeks ago the youth of the church were motivated after their Pastor challenged them to use bridges stories as a tool for personal witnessing. They went into a number of villages resulting in eight (8) new souls being won and about eight (8) persons who had abandoned church also rededicated their lives to Christ and started going to church again.
As a young missionary, Okongo Samson knew that sharing Christ in war-torn Northern Uganda and other African/Arab countries would be very risky. But his kidnapping by the brutal Lord’s Resistance Army, led by cult-leader Joseph Kony, brought him a level of pain and despair he’d never known. Faced with a life of slavery and killing, it seemed to Okongo that his life was over at age sixteen. But God had other plans. Through a literal miracle, Okongo escaped the army’s camp, traveled by foot to Julu and then taken to Uganda’s capital city then to Kisumu, Kenya. His escape was a miracle! For the past several decades, he has carried the Gospel to the most unreached nations of the world. In 2005 he founded Unite4Africa which is base in Tucson Arizona.
