Ethiopa Update – Apr 2014
Ethiopa Update – April 2014 – Samson Weldemariam – Country Director
“Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls…love one another fervently from the heart” (1 Peter 1:22)
One of the supreme ethics that Christians are commanded to practice toward one another is love! Love demonstrates itself in concrete actions of service, compassion, kindness and generosity toward others.
I just want to thank all of you for loving God and His people not only in words but also in actions. I encourage you to continue doing this for His Glory.
Here under I am going to share with you few things about God’s amazing work in the country of Ethiopia…
I. Missionaries Training in Welenchity.
We have trained 56 local missionaries in Bridges 2 last month in the town called Welenchity. The aim of the training was to make them to be Master trainers. Since our church planting movement grows rapidly we need to have more master trainers so that they will go out and train others based on the scripture 2Timo 2:2.
We spent 3 days together and we encouraged and prayed one for another.

II. Our KG school in Welenchity needs more prayer and support.
We have more than 250 students in our School. Half of them are orphans and vulnerable children. The classrooms we have right now are not enough for our children. So, we have started to build three additional classrooms. By the grace of God we have completed the work of the foundation. But, we cannot go further due to the budget constrain. So, pray for us for the completion of the classrooms.

III. Preaching the Gospel under the tree in Dongore village
We have conducted a gospel campaign in Dongore village by the end of last month. Thousands of people have got the opportunity of hearing the Gospel. Among them more than 300 people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We thank God!

IV. Goats donation for orphans
As we all know that our ministry is holistic. So, based on this, we have continued donating goats for the orphans. In past two months we have donated 30 goats for 30 orphans. The orphans selected from various villages like Aribona, Gari, Rukecha and Dongore.
The impact of this ministry is very huge. Hundreds of orphans have benefited so far. The goats are reproduce themselves very fast and the orphans use them as source of income to buy cloths, food and school uniforms.

Conclusion
We thank God for the success He has given in this 1st quarter of the year .
The followings are our prayer requests:
➢ Pray for our KG school in Welenchity to be able to complete the additional classrooms.
➢ Pray for us may God would help us to train more workers for the harvest.
➢ Pray for our orphans may God use this goats project to transform their lives.
