Ghana Update – November 2016
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:8-11)
Introduction
Today there are so many things that are happening in our system with most people including Christian leaders relying on their thoughts and opinions rather than on the word of God. The Lord has openly declared in Isaiah that His thoughts are not our thoughts and neither are our ways His ways. Sometime we often expect certain things to happen but yet the Lord knows best and that is why we have to rely on Him. Especially, when we don’t have the answers or understand why He has allowed certain things to happen around us. Be guided by the word.
Sustainable Agriculture Conference
Samson and Silas were privileged to be part of a sustainable agricultural conference organized by the West Africa Centre of the Economic Concern for Hunger Organization (ECHO) in partnership with one of the Christian NGO’s in Northern Ghana. Lessons learnt included farming God’s way, preparation of Biogas, the role of the Church in community development among other.

Farming Project
In some few days we shall be heading for the harvest; this time not soul but crops. The Lord has been so good to us in that we have had good and enough rains and we are looking forward to a good harvest. This year we have had a very promising rice field even though not as big as last years. We trust the Lord for strength and labour to get everything harvested very soon. Plans are to also get the maize field harvested.

Bridges Training
The partnership that was initiated by Mike Forster of SIU begun to yield fruits with our first Bridges training in Bolgatanga the capital town of the Upper East Region of Ghana. In all we had 26 participants taking part in the training. Rev. Nsoh and Rev. Ben Annor alongside the participants were excited that the training was able to take place. It is our prayer and hope that we will be having a good number of trainings in that region of Ghana in new year.

Graduation Ceremony
Samson successfully graduated from the International Leadership Development Institute affiliated with the Bethany International University Singapore with an M.A in Leadership and Missions and was adjudged the best Masters’ Student of the Tamale campus. It is our prayer that lessons learnt in the program will be used to offer leadership and direction to the Churches that he leads and also assist in mapping out new strategies to scale up the interventions of Unite 4 Africa by the Ghana team in the coming years.
