MAILITISA

In the month of December we opened a new church, “ZION BAPTIST CHURCH.”This church was started in an area which is known to traditional Maasai activities and ceremonies. This is where our young men are brought together to begin ceremonial training. At some time in 2013, a false prophet who used the Bible, but practicing Maasai traditions started what he called a church under a tree at this place. Many people flocked as he could tell about their lives. We came together as pastors in this community and prayed. God exposed him and people came to know that he was lying and chased him away. This opened a way for us to start a church and put in a new and true foundation of JESUS CHRIST. After laying a foundation in God’s word, now they are asking me to be their pastor.

Fig2 under this tree, a false prophet started, using bible but preaching traditions not the Gospel. A true church of Jesus has now started here.

During the month of October we held a youth training for youth leaders in eleven of our Baptist churches. The training focused on character issues in leadership, integrity, accountability and maturity in leadership. This is a mentoring process to prepare our young men and women to create discipline and a Christ centered leadership.

Kenya Update – Sep 2014 – Rauf Okal – Operations Director

Unite 4 Africa Inc. received some funds for the animals for orphans project. We are in the stage of giving the goats and sheep. Rev. Moses has already overseen the giving of goats and sheep in Noosikitok.

We hope this venture will go along way to impact positively on the lives of orphans. May God bless abundantly our friends and partners who have supported this noble project.

ENGABOLI

Engaboli church in Maasai land got three people get saved this month. The Church is steadily growing and one of the community elders donated a parcel of land for the Church development. We hope this will go a long way in reaching out to the community.

Kenya Update – May 2014 – Rauf Okal – Operations Director

KINALE

Pastor Paul of Kinale Hub reports that the Church has steadily been growing. The youth have increased in number in his Church. Kageraini Church too has been growing since the Church rented a place. The Church is planning baptism, a revival and children dedication in May.

He is glad through the efforts of the Church; they managed to acquire musical instruments. They are praying for Chairs and electricity installation.

Kenya Update – March 2014 – Rauf Okal – Operations Director

Eric Stephens and Barry Darnall had an opportunity to visit Kenya from 5th – 17 March 2014. The team spent time in Maasai region with visits to Noosikitok, Lositeti, Enkokidongoi, Lumbwa, Noontoto, Karero, Enoosampurrmpurr and visited Amboseli Park as well.

The team participated in a number of activities: meeting Church leaders from the Baptist Association and shared about Church leadership, donating sanitary pads to Enoosampurrmpurr and Noontoto Schools, donating Maasai Bibles and Chairs to Karero Church, text books to Lumbwa. The team participated in Lunch feeding program at Noosiktiok Shool, and finally a park drive at Amboseli National Park.

MAILITISA

1. The Mailitisa water well project is continuing with the fixing of the water tank support structure underway. We are praying and hoping the project is completed soon, so as to allow the community access to the water. We thank God for the contactor who agreed to complete the structure and installations pending payment!
