The Lord loves people, especially children. It is always a privilege spending some time with the children in the community where our Church is located. The goal is to do this more frequently than we have been doing in order to engage with them more. The children always look forward to this meeting. We are also always cautious knowing that most of them risk entering the church building without the knowledge of their parents and siblings.
It is amazing to hear these children who are not from Christian homes make statement such as ‘Jesus is the Saviour of the world’ and ‘Jesus loves children.’
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
One thing that is pivotal in life and critical in the transformation of people and communities and the fulfilment of the Great Commission is leadership. Samson has been busy helping facilitate leadership development trainings to assist in empowering the Church to positively impact their members and the communities in which the Church is located.
“I am challenged to be different in how I approach things as a Christian leade,r which offers me the power to impact lives around me,” says a participant.
Another leader said, “I can confidently say that the lessons we have been receiving has greatly shaped how I now approach things in my personal life, my family and my Church.”
RECOGNITION OF EFFORTS
A recognition was given to Samson for his achievement and efforts in impacting lives and also contributing to lifting people in diverse ways. His efforts in offering wholistic lifestyle adjustment needed for people to experience transformed lives was noticed from afar.
PRAYER NEEDS
Thank God for what He has begun to do in Ghana with the economic recovery process.
Pray for the new evangelistic strategy launched in the upper west region of Ghana to help yield in seeing lives drawn to Christ.
Pray for the return of the Seed of Hope radio Broadcast to be brought back on air soon.

Leadership does not happen by accident it is formed through intentional investment, close walking, and faithful mentorship. Recently, Unite 4 Africa and specifically Dr. Okongo had the privilege of taking a group of leaders aside for a focused leadership training and retreat. This time away was designed to equip, train, and mentor leaders in practical and spiritual leadership skills that will strengthen their service to God’s people and expand the impact of the ministry.
During the retreat, leaders were trained in areas such as servant leadership, integrity, vision casting, teamwork, spiritual discipline, conflict resolution, and effective ministry stewardship. Beyond the sessions, the greatest value came from shared moments of prayer, discussion, reflection, and personal mentorship. It was a space where leaders could ask honest questions, sharpen one another, and receive guidance for both ministry and life.
This approach reflects the model of Jesus Himself. While He ministered to multitudes, Jesus intentionally set aside a few. “He appointed twelve that they might be with Him”. With these disciples, Jesus shared deeply explaining parables privately, correcting them in love, praying with them, and preparing them for future leadership. Even among the twelve, He invested more closely in Peter, James, and John, demonstrating that effective leadership multiplication requires focused mentorship.
Jesus understood that transformation happens best in close relationships. In the same way, this retreat was not just about information, but about formation shaping character, strengthening calling, and nurturing spiritual maturity. Leaders left encouraged, challenged, and better equipped to serve with humility, wisdom, and faithfulness.
Unite 4 Africa, remains committed to raising godly leaders who lead like Christ- leaders who serve, shepherd, and multiply others. We thank our partners, mentors, and supporters who make such trainings possible. Together, we are building strong foundations for lasting impact, one leader at a time.

A New Church Planted: Light and Hope in the Community
We joyfully celebrate the planting of another church as we continue to pursue the vision God has entrusted to us to plant one hundred churches within the set period of time. Each new church stands as a testimony that the Gospel is advancing, bringing light, hope, and transformation to communities that have long awaited renewal.
This newly planted church is located in a community with a strong history of deep cultural traditions and ritual practices that have shaped beliefs and daily life for generations. As we carry out evangelism in such areas, we do so with respect for the people, while remaining faithful to the truth of the Gospel. At times, these long-held practices create resistance, and our teams may face misunderstanding, opposition, or even hostility when sharing the message of Christ. Yet, we are encouraged by the words of Scripture that remind us that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood”. Despite these challenges, the planting of a church in this community represents a powerful breakthrough. Where fear, bondage, or uncertainty once held influence, the presence of the church now offers prayer, teaching, and the hope found in Jesus Christ. The Gospel brings empowerment spiritually through salvation and discipleship, socially through unity and restored values, and practically through leadership development and community support.
During the church planting, we also prayed for and commissioned the pastor who will serve in this area. We committed him to the Lord, asking for courage, wisdom, spiritual authority, and divine protection as he leads in a context that requires both grace and boldness. We believe God has strategically placed him in this community to shepherd His people and stand as a faithful witness of Christ’s love and truth.
We thank God for our partners, intercessors, and supporters who stand with us in prayer and provision. Together, we continue to see God establish His church even in challenging environments. As we press on toward the vision of one hundred churches, we remain confident that the light of Christ will continue to shine, and no darkness will overcome it. One community, one church and one life at a time.
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty,.

Restoring Dignity and Hope: Dignity Pads for Girls Project
At the beginning of this year, we launched the Dignity Pads for Girls Project at Impoori Primary School, with a heart to restore dignity, confidence, and hope among young girls. This initiative is more than the distribution of sanitary pads, it is a message to every girl that she is valued, loved, and wonderfully created by God.
For many girls, the lack of access to sanitary pads becomes a major barrier to education. Some are forced to miss school regularly, while others struggle in silence, losing confidence and self-worth. Through this project, girls are now able to stay in school consistently, participate freely in class, and focus on their education without fear or embarrassment.
The dignity pads have helped girls grow in confidence, confidence in themselves and in the way God created them. They are learning that their bodies are not something to be ashamed of, but a gift from God. As a result, many girls now walk with renewed courage, joy, and assurance that they are cared for.
In some communities, stigma and cultural silence around menstruation make it difficult for girls to ask for such essential items. Many feel embarrassed or afraid to speak up, especially within their own families. This silence often leaves girls vulnerable and unsupported. By providing dignity pads and education, we are breaking this stigma and creating safe spaces where girls feel understood, respected, and supported.
We deeply appreciate our partners, donors, and supporters for making this possible. Your generosity has made our girls feel comfortable, accepted, and loved. Because of you, young girls are staying in school, dreaming again, and stepping into their future with dignity and confidence.
Together, we are not just meeting a need, we are restoring dignity and shaping a brighter future for the next generation.

OPEN – AIR EVANGELISM – MAILITISA
Unite 4 Africa carried out its first outreach evangelism in Mailtisa with the aim of sharing the Gospel and reaching the community for Christ. The team engaged residents through personal interactions and the preaching of God’s Word, demonstrating love, faith, and commitment to the Great Commission. Through this outreach, many individuals were reached with the message of salvation. By the grace of God, one soul responded to the Gospel, accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and committed his life to Him. We thank God for this fruitful beginning and look forward to continued evangelistic efforts in the surrounding communities.

EMPOWERING WITH HOUSING – OLTIASIKA
Empowering the vulnerable through access to decent housing is a vital step toward improving their quality of life. For many years, these families lived in mud-thatched houses that leaked heavily whenever it rained and had many holes, exposing them to harsh weather conditions and health risks. The poor state of their homes affected their safety, dignity, and overall well-being, making daily life extremely challenging. Through Unite 4 Africa, provision of new, decent houses brought immense joy and excitement to the beneficiaries. For the first time, they experienced the comfort and security of a proper home that protects them from rain and other environmental dangers. Beyond the physical transformation, many of the beneficiaries have come to know Christ and now recognize God’s hand in the changes taking place in their lives. Through faith, they see this transformation as a testimony of God’s love and provision, and their hearts are filled with gratitude as they glorify God for restoring hope, dignity, and renewed vision for a better and a more stable future.

1- Heartwarming Christmas Outreach Update from Wonji-Showa, Ethiopia
I’m thrilled to share a heartfelt update from our recent Christmas outreach at Wonji-Showa. This year, I sent my wife, Addis, to our school to celebrate Ethiopian Christmas with our orphans, vulnerable children, and the entire school community. Over 400 children gathered to joyfully commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ within our school compound.
Addis, along with Pastor Tegene from the local church, delivered an inspiring message and led prayers for the children and their families. We provided delicious cakes and special meals, making the day even more festive. The event included Bible verse memorization, Gospel songs, and a variety of joyful activities that filled the air with laughter.
Witnessing these precious kids enjoy Christmas in such a memorable way was truly a blessing. We also distributed gifts to the children, many of whom had never received presents before, and they delighted in fresh bread from our Bread of Life bakery.
Looking ahead, we plan to continue this outreach twice a year—during Christmas and Easter. I want to extend my sincere gratitude for Rev. Dr. Okongo for helping us establish this cherished tradition over the years.
As we prepare for Easter in April, please continue to pray for our outreach efforts, that we may do even more to bless the children and the community.
2- Exciting Update: Launch of Our Third Module of DMM Training
I am thrilled to announce the launch of our third module of DMM training, titled “Vision,” taking place in Arbamich from January 15 – 19, in one of our key gateway cities in the southern region of Ethiopia. This module is a pivotal moment for us, as it brings together 38 passionate pastors and leaders from 12 diverse denominations and churches. Our goal is to equip these leaders with the vision of Jesus, empowering them to mobilize disciple-making movements across Africa. We use the training materials from our partner called J-life Africa.
During our time together, participants are actively engaging in meaningful exchanges, sharing best practices and insights collected from previous training modules. This collaborative environment allows them to delve deep into the person and purpose of Christ’s life, fostering both spiritual growth and community building among leaders in the region. It’s inspiring to witness how these conversations are igniting new ideas and strengthening connections among the leaders.
In addition to the training, I spent an extra day in Arbamich coaching and mentoring our regional key leaders. This focused time was invaluable, ensuring that our leaders are equipped with the necessary tools and insights to lead effectively within their communities. We believe that empowering these leaders will have a ripple effect, impacting countless lives in their congregations and neighborhoods.
We take this opportunity to thank Rev. Dr. Okongo for initiating this training years ago. We deeply appreciate your prayers and support as we continue this important work. Your involvement is crucial to the success of these initiatives, and together, we can make a lasting impact in the southern region of Ethiopia.

I hope you all had a blessed and peaceful Christmas and New Year’s.
One of the things that the entire Board of Unite 4 Africa discusses and pays attention to on a regular basis is stewardship. We are committed to making sure that any of the resources that we receive are used in the best way possible to bring honor and glory to God.
I’m speaking for myself and not the entire board when I say that I am convinced that I don’t have all or even many of the answers as to exactly how to make sure the resources are used wisely. That is not to say that I don’t ask questions and pay attention to how the resources are used but I am simply acknowledging that with different cultures and rules and regulations in all the countries that Unite 4 Africa operates in, it is difficult to have exactly the right answers.
About six months ago, I asked a wise friend of mine if he could summarize what God asks us to do as we live life. He explained a few things but then summarized his thoughts by saying that we should Trust and Obey God (Trustful Obedience). I have been thinking about this profound but simple statement for the last six months. If you think about it for a while, it can be quite a bit more difficult to do than it first seems. I ask myself often if I truly trust and know God, am I hearing from Him and am I willing to do what He asks me to do. I freely admit that some days I seem to do that well and others not so well. I am a work in progress like we all are.
So, what does Trustful Obedience have to do with Stewardship and my role as a Unite 4 Africa Board member? Everything! Because we as the board members know that the leadership of Unite 4 Africa, starting with Dr Okongo Samson, models Trustful Obedience. Since we are Trusting in God and are led by Him to do His will, naturally projects will be done efficiently and effectively. In other words, good stewardship is interwoven with doing what God is asking the leadership to do.
So, when you read some of the statistics each year about what Unite 4 Africa is able to do with a modest budget, you might think to yourself, like I did when I first heard about Unite 4 Africa, that there is no way those numbers could be correct. However, now that I understand that each project is in alignment with what the leadership of Unite 4 Africa believes God is asking them to do, then everything starts to make sense. Truly tens of thousands are being led to Christ each year as hundreds of thousands hear the Gospel message each year!
Thank you all for trusting us with the resources God has entrusted to you. Please know that all of us on the board and leadership teams are Trusting and Obeying God as He allows all of us to be a part of the change in people’s lives and hearts to His own glory.

1. God at Work in the Horn of Africa: A Season of Foundation, Formation, and Faith
As we come to the close of the year, we rejoice in what God continues to do across the nations of the Horn of Africa, one of the most volatile yet spiritually significant regions on the continent. Despite the challenges, God is powerfully at work, establishing His Kingdom through faithful and courageous leaders.
By God’s grace, I was given another opportunity by the end of last month to teach, train, disciple, coach, and mentor underground leaders serving in this region. I traveled to the strategic city of Diredawa, Ethiopia, located in the eastern part of the country and bordering Djibouti, Somaliland, and Somalia. This location continues to serve as a key gateway for ministry across the Horn of Africa.
During this visit, 14 key underground leaders gathered for an intensive three-day training, followed by an additional two days of coaching, prayer, and strategic planning. These leaders came hungry for truth, strengthening, and direction as they faithfully serve under difficult and often risky circumstances. This training initiative is ongoing and will continue three times a year, every four months, with the next gathering planned for the end of March next year.
The focus of my teaching was on the ministry foundation of Jesus Christ adopting the material from J-Life Africa. We explored what it truly means to ground both life and ministry on Christ alone. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully throughout the sessions, bringing conviction, clarity, and encouragement. Many leaders testified that the message spoke directly into their current realities and helped realign their ministries with the true foundation of Jesus.
Following the training, we also established a Horn of Africa Ministry and Leadership Team composed of five leaders representing different countries in the region. This team will help strengthen collaboration, accountability, and strategic direction for the growing underground movement across the Horn of Africa. We thank God for this important step forward and for the unity He is building among leaders.
For security reasons, I am intentionally restricting the sharing of photos and specific details related to the training and the leaders involved. We trust in your understanding as we prioritize the safety of those serving on the frontlines.
Thank you so much for standing with us through your prayers, encouragement, and support. Your partnership makes this work possible. I humbly ask that you continue to pray for protection, wisdom, spiritual strength, and continued fruitfulness as God advances His work in this region.
Together, we give thanks to God for all He is doing and for what is yet to come.
2. Restoring Dignity and Hope Through Our Sanitary Pads Project
As we reflect on the month of December, our hearts are filled with gratitude for what God continues to do through your partnership. One of the most encouraging highlights this season comes from our Dignity Pads Project, faithfully led by my wife, Addiskidan.
In the past month, Addiskidan traveled to the town of Welenchity, where she distributed dignity pads to 30 school girls. This outreach went far beyond the provision of hygiene supplies. During this time, the girls received health education, teaching them how to care for their bodies with confidence and knowledge. Even more importantly, Addiskidan spoke into their hearts—sharing about the dignity of life, encouraging them to value themselves, remain focused on their vision for the future, and stand strong in the many challenges they face.
The gathering concluded with prayer, and God moved powerfully in their midst. Many of the girls shared heartfelt testimonies, expressing how this project has brought transformation, hope, and renewed confidence into their lives.
This project exists because a simple but painful reality remains true in many remote villages across Ethiopia: when girls begin menstruation, the lack of hygiene supplies forces them to stay home from school. Repeated absences cause them to fall behind academically, and for many, this eventually leads to dropping out of school altogether.
We believe deeply that education for girls is essential. Menstruation should never be a barrier to learning or to destiny. When girls in a community are educated, the cycle of poverty begins to loosen its grip, and hope for a brighter future takes root.
Thank you for standing with us through your prayers and faithful support. Your partnership is helping restore dignity, protect education, and shape futures—one girl at a time.
PRAISE ITEMS (Thanksgiving to God)
Praise God for His ongoing work and Kingdom advancement in the Horn of Africa despite challenges.
Thank God for the successful training in Diredawa and for strengthening 14 underground leaders.
Praise God for the powerful work of the Holy Spirit and the renewed focus on Christ as the foundation.
Thank God for the formation of the Horn of Africa Ministry and Leadership Team and growing unity among leaders.
Praise God for the impact of the Dignity Pads Project, restoring dignity, hope, and confidence to school girls.
Thank God for faithful partners whose prayers and support make this ministry possible.
PRAYER ITEMS (Summary)
Pray for protection, wisdom, and spiritual strength for underground leaders in the Horn of Africa.
Pray for unity, discernment, and effectiveness of the regional leadership team.
Pray for God’s guidance and provision for upcoming trainings and ministry expansion.
Pray for the continued growth and sustainability of the Dignity Pads Project.
Pray for girls to remain in school, grow in confidence, and break cycles of poverty.
CONCLUSION
As we close this season of reflection and thanksgiving, we acknowledge that God is faithfully building His work quietly, courageously, and powerfully across Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. From underground leaders standing firm on Christ as their foundation, to young girls rediscovering dignity and hope through education and care, we see the unmistakable hand of God at work.
We commit all that has begun into His faithful hands. We trust Him for protection where there is risk, provision where there is need, wisdom where decisions are weighty, and fruitfulness where seeds have been sown. May every training, every prayer, every act of compassion, and every partnership bring glory to Jesus Christ and advance His Kingdom.
With grateful hearts and steadfast faith, we move forward together giving thanks for what God has done and trusting Him fully for what is yet to come. Amen.

Most of our youth today are saddled with a mirage of issues confronting a future of hope for them based on either their past choices or choices they are making currently which are very pivotal to the peace they desire in life.
It is for this reason that a day was set aside for Samson to offer them with ideas and skills they need to face future realities as youth. How to deal with difficult past in their lives in order to ensure restoration and healing were dealt with to guide the youth.
Participants had time to ask varying questions including questions on marriage relationship and career. Samson through the help of the Holy Spirit was able to share principles and truths that are able to help shape the future.
‘This was really good and insightful, we may have to hold another session again so that areas which have not yet been covered in today’s presentation can be addressed’ this was the comment of one the participants just after the session was over.
Church planting and leadership development
A careful review and study of the reason why sustainability of some Church planting efforts have not been so good point to the fact that leadership development and church planting are expected to go hand in hand.
Time was spent to assist church planters to see the need for intentionally developing leaders alongside church planting so that Churches that are planted will have leaders to sustain and improve on their growth and multiplication.
It was so revealing as Church planters agreed conscientiously that leadership development should actually be integral in all church planting training that that we ever intended to organize for Pastors and church leaders.
Annual widows gathering
It was an honour for Samson to speak encouraging words and facilitate a Bible study lesson at this year’s annual widows gathering. This is an annual program that U4A has been supporting to offer hope and some form of relief for widows to enable feel loved at Christmas. After the Bible study one of the widows in testifying about the impact of the study on her life said ‘I used to fight with people but the study has helped to understand that God is my defender who defends me even in times I have no idea of what HE is doing for me behind the scenes’. I am a changed person.
Training of disciple makers
It is always a great joy assisting to train Pastors and Church leaders who are willing to be used by the Lord to make Disciples who make other Disciples and to help create the consciousness and desire to be like Christ in their daily lives in speech and conduct.
Listening to testimonies of transformed lives through the power of the Gospel always confirms what scriptures says…. “That if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, behold the old is gone and the new has come”
Professional counselling
Almost every passing day believers and unbelievers reach out to Rev. Samson Abukari to help offer them and guide as to how to navigate through the life challenges confronting them. In order to effectively blend knowledge of scripture and professionalism in this direction, Rev. Samson has enrolled in an intensive counselling course to help him become effective in offering the needed assistance to those who reach out to him for help. Recently a young man requested to see Samson and when theyfamily met he said “I am still young and do not want to die now so kindly make time for me and my wife to meet with you for I am confident that if it is you something positive can come out of our situation. I also believe that my wife will be ready to listen to you.”
To the glory of God, the program ended well and very soon the national body in charge of counselling will be offering Samson a licence to freely practice professionally in helping offer the needed counselling not just his Church members alone but all manner of people across the nation. This is certainly another avenue for the Gospel to reach those who hitherto will not want to go closer to a Christian program. Pray alongside that this resource will be used to bring spiritual healing to individuals, families and above all help people find true peace through Jesus Christ.
Relationship matters
Many young people gathered to listen to Rev. Samson speak on the theme “The Foundation for a Healthy Relationship.” With emphasis from scripture several Biblical truths on relationship were shared after which lots of questions were asked by the participants for clarity on what to do if one desires the foundation for a healthy relationship.
The organizers were so excited about the participation and the content of the presentation which helped to answer the questions most Christian young men and women have in relation to relationships and what could be done to stay in the will of God and live with future spouses with grace and genuine love.
Prayer needs
Appreciate the Lord for a beautiful year and ask for grace to end the year well.
Appreciate God for His sustenance throughout the year and that the blessings of the Lord will abound for His children before the year finally comes to an end.
Pray for a beautiful start of the New Year and that the grace to continue diligently with the Great Commission shall be released over us.

As we have wound up the year, we are counting our blessings and standing in awe of what the Lord has done among us. With grateful hearts, we look back on His faithfulness and look ahead with renewed energy and expectancy for the this year. This past month, we were deeply encouraged as we witnessed the powerful work God is doing in our community through our outreach program. Hearts were touched, lives were transformed, and many experienced the life-changing hope found only in Christ.
We rejoice to share that several individuals made the decision to give their lives to Jesus, committing themselves to a journey of faith, discipleship, and spiritual growth. These moments served as a powerful reminder of the Gospel’s life-giving power and God’s ongoing work among His people. We were also blessed to distribute Bibles written in the Maasai language, making God’s Word accessible and deeply personal to the community. It was a joy to place these precious Scriptures into the hands of both new believers and long-time followers of Christ, equipping them to grow in faith, find encouragement, and walk daily in the truth of God’s Word.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this outreach through prayer, generosity, and volunteer service. Your partnership is making an eternal impact. With thankful hearts, we give all glory to God for what He has done and for all that is yet to come.

Goats for Orphans: Restoring Hope in Kitui County
In Kitui County, our Goats for Orphans program has become a powerful source of hope and transformation for vulnerable children. Earlier this month, we were able to issue 24 goats to deserving children. Each child received a healthy goat along with practical training in proper feeding and daily care, ensuring that this gift would bring lasting, long-term benefits. Already, the impact is evident. Children who received theirs earlier are already enjoying fresh, nutritious milk, and the surplus milk and goats are providing a vital source of income to help meet essential needs such as school fees, food, and household necessities. What began as a simple gift is quickly becoming a pathway toward sustainability and self-reliance.
Beyond material support, the program is equipping these young ones with valuable livestock management skills and a growing sense of responsibility. This hands-on experience is building confidence, dignity, and hope for the future. Seeing their smiles and witnessing their excitement as they care for their goats reminds us that even a small gift when guided by love, and purpose can create a lasting impact.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, donors, and volunteers whose generous support made this program possible. Your commitment is not only providing goats, but also nurturing independence, resilience, and a brighter tomorrow for Kitui County’s most vulnerable children. Thank you for walking with us and for being part of this life-changing journey.

Raising Godly Leaders for Growing Churches
This month marked a truly historic and joyful moment for Unite 4 Africa as we celebrated significant milestones in church planting and leadership development across our ministry. We were blessed to witness the ordination of Pastor Titus and the commissioning of 25 additional pastors, all of whom have been faithfully trained and equipped to serve their communities. These leaders are now stepping into greater responsibility to shepherd God’s people and to expand God’s Kingdom through newly planted and growing churches. These meaningful milestones stand as a testimony to the ongoing work of Unite 4 Africa in planting churches, training and empowering pastors, and equipping church leaders to effectively reach their communities with the life-transforming Word of God. Through this ministry, lives are being changed and communities are experiencing lasting spiritual impact.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Okongo, President of Unite 4 Africa, for traveling a great distance to grace this special occasion with his presence and leadership. His commitment and encouragement were a tremendous blessing to all who attended.
Finally, we offer our sincere thanks to our partners and supporters. Your prayers, generosity, and faithful partnership make this work possible. Because of your support, communities are being reached, churches are being planted, and many are encountering the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Thank you for standing with us as we continue to advance God’s Kingdom across Africa.

Baptism and Child Dedication Celebration at Zion Baptist Church, Mailitisa
A Maasai proverb states, “One tree does not make a forest.” In the light of Scripture, this wisdom echoes the biblical truth that faith is lived, nurtured, and strengthened in community as believers walk together and grow together in Christ. At Zion Baptist Church in Mailitisa, within the Maasai community, we continue to experience remarkable spiritual growth through evangelism, missions, and strong home fellowship ministries. As the Gospel is faithfully shared from manyatta to manyatta, lives are being transformed and families are being welcomed into the family of God. This month, we joyfully celebrated the baptism of 15 new believers, a powerful public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ made before family members, elders, and the wider community. The baptism service was deeply moving and filled with worship, thanksgiving, and testimonies of new life in Christ.
One newly baptized sister shared her testimony: “Today I have stepped onto a new path. Just as a Maasai finds identity in his people and his cattle, I now know where I belong. When I came out of the water, my heart felt washed and strong. I am beginning a new life, walking with Jesus.” Her words beautifully reflect the truth of Scripture: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
On the same day, the church also held a child dedication service for 47 children. Parents stood before the congregation to commit their children to the Lord, acknowledging that children are a precious gift from God and affirming their desire to raise them according to biblical values. This meaningful moment was a powerful sign of hope for the next generation and a reminder that God is building His church not only for today, but for generations to come. We praise God for His faithful work among the Maasai people through Zion Baptist Church.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
History is replete with people who failed to seize priceless opportunities. People who lacked vision and missed a chance to make a big difference in the world. Here are just a few:
“This ‘telephone’ has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us.” –Western Union internal memo, 1876.
“The wireless music box has no imaginable commercial value. Who would pay for a message sent to nobody in particular?” — Associates of radio pioneer and founder of RCA David Sarnoff in response to his request for their investment in radio technology in the 1920’s.
“The concept is interesting and well-formed, but in order to earn better than a ‘C,’ the idea must be feasible.” –A Yale professor in response to Fred Smith’s essay proposing reliable overnight delivery service. (Smith went on to found FedEx.)
“A cookie store is a bad idea. Besides, the market research reports say America likes crispy cookies, not soft and chewy cookies like you make.” –Response to Debbi Fields’ idea of starting Mrs. Fields’ Cookies.
“So we went to Atari and said, ‘Hey, we’ve got this amazing thing, even built with some of your parts, and what do you think about funding us? Or, we’ll give it to you. We just want to do it. Pay our salary, we’ll come work for you.’ And they said, ‘No.’ So, then, we went to Hewlett-Packard, and they said, ‘Hey, we don’t need you. You haven’t got through college yet.'” –Apple Computer Inc. founder Steve Jobs, on attempts to get Atari and H-P interested in his invention of the personal computer.
“Drill for oil? You mean drill into the ground to try and find oil? You’re crazy.” –Drillers whom Edwin L. Drake, the first American to successfully drill for oil, tried to enlist to his project in 1859.
“Louis Pasteur’s theory of germs is ridiculous fiction.” –Pierre Pachet, Professor of Physiology at Toulouse, 1872
Each of these visionaries who were rejected by others envisioned how their ideas could improve the lives of countless others. And in every case, they were right. But each of those successful ideas and the impact they made on the world pale in comparison to sharing Jesus with others. Because, even though all of the above-mentioned ideas had decades-long impact, bringing the life-transforming message of Jesus to others has eternal impact.
In 2003 Okongo Samson was divinely inspired to found Unite 4 Africa, a ministry of community and life transformation in the name of Jesus. But even though Okongo and other Unite 4 Africa leaders faced often severe opposition, their obedience to God’s calling and the joy of pursuing His vision drove them on. And today countless lives have been touched and transformed.
Since they answered God’s call to boldly stand for Christ, Unite 4 Africa has impacted 87 countries, meeting the spiritual, physical, medical, social, and emotional needs of people in desperate need every day, including the most unreached and war-torn nations of the world.
I want to invite you to join me in expressing your support for Okongo and our other leaders. They often face opposition from those who do not share their passion for the vision God has given them. And yet they persevere. When you give to the work of Unite 4 Africa you are a visionary. Your support says to them: “I’m with you. I share your vision. Be encouraged.” And, of course, your gift helps them bring Hope to the Hopeless, Water to the Thirsty, Families to Orphans, Medicine to the Sick, Empowerment to the Poor, and the Light of Jesus to the Darkness.
Your shared vision with Okongo and the team will be a real encouragement to them and you’ll have an eternal impact on others.

As a partner in the work of Unite 4 Africa you are living out Scripture by helping us take God’s truth to people in a continent a half a world away, yet close to God’s heart and to yours.
Traveling to Africa may seem like quite a long trip. And it may seem impossible to manage taking time to join us on a mission trip. I thought so too before I traveled with Okongo to Africa. But it ended up being one of the most rewarding, blessed trips I’ve ever taken. I was changed by God. He grew me spiritually in just a few short days while I was there with Unite 4 Africa witnessing firsthand the most amazing work He is accomplishing. I’m so very thankful I went.
I would like to encourage you, if you have the desire to see firsthand the work of Unite 4 Africa, and if you want an unusually blessed experience, to come and join us on our next mission trip. To learn more, please call Okongo Samson our Founder and CEO at 520-668-6208. He would be happy to spend time with you and discuss our next mission trip and other ways you can partner with Unite 4 Africa. And, if you want family and close friends to have a “God experience” too, please discuss the opportunity with them. You might want to consider it for your next vacation. A vacation like no other because it’s so much more.
The Board of Unite 4 Africa wants to thank each of you that donate the treasures God provides you with. Your monthly or annual gift is changing the lives of thousands of Africans every year. You already know that you have been blessed to be a blessing to others, and with your gifts, that is exactly what you are doing. People are receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If you haven’t shared a gift for a while, today would be a perfect opportunity to bless others a half a world away. Stop by www.Unite4Africa.com/donate and do what you can.
There are many more lives to be transformed, as God tells us in Matthew 9:35-38, “… the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” So, please consider increasing your annual giving to help fulfill this mission.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
God bless

It was an exciting moment having to spend some of time engaging the youth in the need for them to desire, be a part and love missions.
Some efforts were made to explain for the youth to understand that Christ first wants a relationship with us which will then qualify us to represent Him in our home, work place, community and wherever we may find ourselves.
The youth were challenged to make the sharing of Christ to others as a part and parcel of their lives. In others words, witnessing or representing Christ must be a lifestyle for all who are children of God.
It is our hope and prayer that the encounter has ignited something in the lives of the youth who participated and those that participated will share what they learnt with others.
GETTING THE GOSPEL ACROSS
The command of our Master was that we should ‘Go and Make Disciples of All Nations.’ Sometimes we don’t go yet expecting the outcome of the going that was commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. A night was spent for an outreach to the community next to the community where our Church is located to share the Good News of Christ Jesus with the community which almost 100% unchurched.
It was amazing and refreshing seeing the youth of the community dancing to the praise and worship that was being offered unto the Lord. The reception of the team and the Gospel presentation were both a testament to what the Holy Spirit will and can do when we obey the instructions of our Master.
At the end of the day three elderly men gave their lives to Christ and follow up is currently being done to assist them to get established in the Lord and also identify as many who are willing to walk with the Lord but are afraid of persecution and other forms of ridicule.
TRAINING OF CHURCH PLANTERS
Samson helped to facilitate two separate trainings for Church Planters and Disciple Makers. The Lord’s promise to be with His children to the end of the age is certain. There are some who have remained faithful to His promise and there are some moderate results among His people. As we move gradually into the training, we are trusting the Lord to help His children to begin to create movements across communities.
We look to the Lord for a mighty move among ordinary people who choose to obey His command to ‘Go and Make Disciples of All Nations.‘
PRAYER NEEDS
Thank God for Samson’s successful trip and training in Sierra Leone
Thank God for the trainings in two different regions of Ghana and pray for the upcoming two in two regions.
Pray for the new Believers who recently gave their lives to Christ, that they will get established in their new faith.

From Despair to Destiny: Transforming Lives Through Rescue and Restoration
We are glad to report of a major success with the rescue of 138 girls from the dangers of early and forced marriages, aligning with our mission to protect vulnerable children and restore their dignity. Early marriage presents a widespread challenge, often leading to the cessation of education and exposing young girls to emotional and social harm.
Following the rescue, a special fellowship session was held with the girls and a visiting team led by Dr. Okongo. This gathering was filled with prayer, encouragement, and powerful testimonies. The girls were reminded of their immense value and identity in Christ. The team emphasized that the past does not define their future, highlighting education as a God-given pathway to empowerment.
The immediate focus is now on the practical step of ensuring that all 138 girls are admitted into various schools. The comprehensive plan includes securing educational sponsors, providing essential supplies like uniforms and books, and assigning mentors and local church leaders for continuous spiritual and emotional support. We are very grateful to all partners and donors, acknowledging that their generosity is directly transforming destinies and enabling these girls to receive a new beginning to pursue education and grow to fulfill their God ordained purposes on the earth.

A Game with Eternal Impact: Hope Through Sports
In a dusty village field, young athletes gathered for more than just a soccer final. Unite 4 Africa, led by President Dr. Okongo, brought more than soccer balls; they brought a message of love and purpose. As part of Unite 4 Africa’s sports evangelism outreach, Dr. Okongo personally donated new soccer balls to local teams, igniting joy and excitement among the youth. But before the game began, he shared a powerful word of encouragement. He reminded them that they are deeply loved by God and that their identity and worth go far beyond winning a game.
As the teams huddled together, Dr. Okongo prayed over them, blessing their futures, families, and dreams. That simple act, on a humble field, became a sacred moment. He then stayed to cheer them on during the final match, not as a guest of honor, but as a brother in Christ, celebrating the unity and hope that sports can bring. A 17-year-old midfielder from Partimaro, a community in Maasai land said, “I came to play football, but I left with more than just experience. I now know that Jesus sees me, loves me and has a plan for my life.” That day, soccer became more than a game. It became a tool of transformation and unity.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our U4A Partners — From Mbitini Community
Our recent visit to Mbitini, Kitui County, with Dr. Okongo was a powerful reminder of the deep impact your partnership has made. Rev. Peter had invited local beneficiaries, many meeting Dr. Okongo for the first time, to share their stories. What followed was a joyful, gratitude-filled gathering. Hands shot up as people eagerly shared how their lives have been transformed through initiatives like the Goat for Orphans Project, the Bible Project, and the Education Program. So many wanted to give their testimonies, we couldn’t hear them all!
Each story spoke of restored hope and renewed purpose, all made possible through your generosity. It was a sacred moment, a living witness to God’s goodness through your faithful support. Thank you for walking this journey with us. Because of you, lives are changing, and an entire community is being uplifted. Below are photos that tell just a few of these stories—we look forward to sharing more in our next newsletter.

Naibala Church plant bringing community transformation
The dedication of the Naibala CommunityChurch stands as a powerful testament to faith and persistence, marking a major success in the broader “Mission 100 Churches” vision. What began as a small group of Believers gathering and worshiping under a tree has successfully transitioned into a semi-permanent, beautiful house of worship. This achievement is celebrated not only as a fulfillment of their vision for a physical temple but also as an inspiring display of God’s faithfulness and the unstoppable momentum of their mission to bring the light of Christ to every community.
The dedication ceremony was a moment of profound joy, drawing together church members, community leaders, and well-wishers. The highlight was a powerful sermon based on 1 Corinthians 3:16, which emphasized that while the new building provided an essential gathering space, every Believer is a living temple of God. The message encouraged the congregation to live in holiness, unity, and love, ensuring the church functions not just as a sanctuary but as a reflection of God’s presence in the wider community.
The new structure has quickly become a tangible symbol of transformation and hope in Naibala, bringing renewed faith and serving a vital role in the community. The church now operates as a central location for worship, discipleship, family nurturing, and active outreach and evangelism into surrounding villages. We have sincere gratitude to all ministry partners and donors whose generous contributions and prayers have served to empower the team in church plants as we witness the salvation of many to the glory of God.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Pastor Titus as he prepares for his ordination, that God may strengthen, equip, and guide him to fulfill the call of God over his life. Also, lift in prayer the thirty other pastors who will be commissioned for ministry- that the Holy Spirit fills them with wisdom, humility, and passion for souls and that their ministries will bear lasting fruit.
Pray that the young girls in our communities will find renewed hope, strength, and purpose in the Lord. May they be shielded from discouragement, exploitation, and societal pressures that seek to destroy their worth. Ask God to help them retain their dignity, embrace their God-given identity, and rise to become women of faith, integrity, and influence in their generation.
Ask the Lord to anoint every evangelistic effort and discipleship of the new Believers that we are involved in and that He raises faithful leaders for the new church plants in our communities.

1. Leadership That Multiplies: God’s Movement in Wolayita – Sodo and Beyond
At Unite 4 Africa, our mission is to equip local and church leaders with transformational leadership skills rooted in Servant Leadership and the model of Jesus’s way of disciple-making. We provide biblically grounded and culturally relevant approaches to Leadership Development, Discipleship, and Mentoring across Africa through contextualized training sessions, seminars, and workshops.
As I reported in my previous newsletter article, under the visionary leadership and initiative of Dr. Okongo Samson, we launched Leadership Development and Disciple-Making Movement Trainings in two key Ethiopian cities—Wolayita Sodo and Arba-Minch at the beginning of last year. Thanks to Dr. Okongo’s ongoing mentorship and support, this movement has been steadily growing and producing lasting fruit.
After we successfully conducted the third round of this impactful training in the month of May, the movement continues to expand. Pastor Wondemagegn, who is a regional coordinator of Mesrete Kiristos Church, and Pastor George, who is a Pastor of Full Gospel Church, two key leaders in this initiative, traveled to Gasuba, Humbo, and Areka, where they trained more than 200 additional leaders. This multiplication is a tangible sign that the vision God entrusted to Dr. Okongo is taking deep root in the region.
Pastor Wondemagegn Trains Leaders in Gasuba town
We are filled with joy and hope as we witness how God is using this movement to bring sustainable transformation—not only in southern Ethiopia but also across the entire nation and, ultimately, beyond its borders. The journey of leadership development and disciple-making continues, and we are confident that the impact will echo for generations to come.
Pastor George and his team facilitate the Training
2. Raising a Generation of Disciple-Makers
At Unite 4 Africa, one of our greatest passions is to empower new and emerging young leaders and to mobilize a disciple-making movement among them. We believe that the future of the Church and the expansion of God’s Kingdom depend on how well we invest in the next generation today. Our vision is to raise up Christ-centered leaders who will influence their communities with the love, humility, and servant leadership modeled by Jesus Himself.
One shining example of this vision in action is Yonas Zeleke, a vibrant young leader serving in one of the local congregations of Meserete Kiristos Church in Adama City, Ethiopia. Yonas participated in our disciple-making training modules, where he learned not only how to grow as a disciple of Jesus but also how to multiply himself by discipling others.
Meserete Kiristos Tsega Local Church Youth group in Adama
After completing the training, Yonas immediately put what he learned into practice. He gathered 21 other young people from his church and began to train, coach, and mentor them using the same biblical principles he had received. Week after week, these young leaders meet for prayer, fellowship, and study of God’s Word. They are growing in their faith and are now actively sharing the Gospel with their friends, families, and communities.
This is the very heart of what we long to see — multiplication in action! It beautifully reflects the instruction the Apostle Paul gave to Timothy:
“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2
Through stories like Yonas’s, we are witnessing the Word of God coming alive in the hearts of young people who are catching the vision of disciple-making and leadership development. These youth are not only being transformed themselves but are also becoming catalysts for transformation in their communities.
We praise God for how He is stirring the hearts of the young generation, preparing them for the next great harvest in His Kingdom. Every testimony like this reminds us that your partnership truly makes a difference. Your prayers, encouragement, and financial support help us reach, train, and equip young leaders like Yonas—leaders who will carry the light of Christ into every corner of their world.
Together, we are shaping the future of Africa—one disciple, one leader, and one community at a time. Thank you for standing with us in this mission.
Conclusions
As we look back on what God is doing through Unite 4 Africa in Ethiopia, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude. The leadership multiplication movement in Wolayita Sodo, Arba-Minch, and beyond, as well as the disciple-making impact among young leaders like Yonas in Adama City, are clear demonstrations that God’s Kingdom is advancing through faithful servants. These stories remind us that transformation happens when leaders live and lead like Jesus—empowered by His Spirit and grounded in His Word.
We are humbled to be part of God’s unfolding story in Ethiopia and across East Africa. The seeds of servant leadership and disciple-making being planted today will, by His grace, yield a great harvest for generations to come. Together, with your prayers and partnership, we will continue to equip and multiply Christ-centered leaders who bring lasting transformation to their communities and nations.

It can be a bit embarrassing for me – my lack of sports knowledge. When “the guys” start talking football, basketball, and especially baseball my brain does a time out. I’ve developed a lot of interests over the years, but sports didn’t make the cut, so to speak. Unless, of course, my grandkids are playing. Then I’m all in.
When I was working in Christian radio, a friend who loves baseball and knows many of the players asked me once if I’d like to interview some of the players for a radio broadcast we were doing together. Of course, most guys would have jumped at the chance, but I told him that he’d probably better do it himself. You see, I had a bad experience with the game when I was eight years old which I’ll tell you about in a moment. After that I never quite recovered what little interest I had in the sport. So, my knowledge of baseball could be placed in a catcher’s mitt and still have room left over for several balls. I was afraid that if I did interview the players I might ask them questions that would reveal to the audience my sad lack of expertise. Questions like, “So what exactly do you players do to stay busy during the time between hits when nothing is going on? Because, frankly, it does seem like you guys do a lot of standing around.”
You can see why I declined the opportunity.
Years later the radio network where I served hosted a listener appreciation night at the Arizona Diamondback’s ballpark. Mainly, I attended for the fellowship and, okay…the hotdogs. Several innings into the game everyone stood up. So, following their lead, I started picking up my stuff preparing to leave. Someone in my group said, “Where are you going?” Noticing I was the only one leaving and that everyone but me was singing, I said, “The game’s over, right?”
“No,” he responded incredulously, “It’s just the 7th inning stretch.”
Mortified, I sat back down and probably mumbled the tune along with the crowd, Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” yet inwardly thinking, This will be the last time anyone wants to take me out to a ballgame.
When I was a Little Leaguer in the early sixties I happened to be interviewed by a reporter for a local newspaper. When he asked me what my favorite position was I responded, “Batter.” He laughed and jotted my answer down on his notepad. I had no idea why my answer was so funny to him, but it did make the paper the next day. You can probably tell that when it comes to baseball, I obviously don’t get it.
Maybe it all started during that game I “played” in 1961. I was the right fielder (at least I think that’s what the position is called) for the Tankers. Our coach wasn’t what I would call the most patient guy. He was a cigar-chompin’, gruff-talkin’, baseball-lovin’ guy’s guy. Very intimidating.
There wasn’t a whole lot to do in right field, of course, so I served my sentence there in more productive pursuits – reviewing that morning’s Saturday cartoons or fashioning a whistle out of a blade of grass. So when I heard the crack of a bat followed by a small white orb hurling my direction you can imagine my shock. It bounced a few times (after all, I wasn’t about to get near it while it was airborne) and I picked it up. I can still remember standing there with the ball in my hand, dumbfounded, watching the runner round the bases, and me not having a clue what to do with the ball.
The other thing I remember was my coach screaming my name. “Robison, Robison…throw the ball!!!!” I’m pretty sure there was another word or two he used which I won’t repeat here.
I had no objection to complying with his suggestion. I simply had no idea where to throw it or why I should throw it. It occurred to me in that embarrassing moment that I may have missed the lesson on “Where and Why to Throw the Ball.” Or maybe I was never told.
Discouraged…and bored…I quit in the middle of the season never to return to
Little League.
Maybe there’s a simple but important lesson here for all of us. Most people are brought up being told what to do and what not to do – “how to throw the ball” – so to speak. But all too often we aren’t taught the “where and why” of the game of life. In other words, the importance of playing the long game – cultivating a desire to know where to go in life and why it’s so important to get there.
To be more specific, simply telling someone “do’s and don’ts” won’t help them develop into Christ-followers unless those lessons are within the context of a “long game” discipleship that cultivates a desire to live an abundant life in Christ for His glory.
Since becoming associated with Unite 4 Africa one thing I’ve really appreciated about this ministry is that they play “the long game” with those whom they serve. They invest deeply in discipleship. They don’t just lead people in a decision to follow Christ – they guide them long-term to grow spiritually.
When you invest in the work God is doing through Unite 4 Africa with your financial gifts, you are investing for “the long game.” In fact, the longest game – eternity. Not only that, but as individuals, married couples, and whole families grow in their relationships with the Lord and with each other, they pass on that spiritual legacy to future generations. And that is a long-term investment that pays eternal dividends.

We give all glory to God for the remarkable success of this year’s Annual Men’s Conference. It was truly a powerful and refreshing time of fellowship, prayer, and impartation. Men from various churches and communities in Maasai land gathered with open hearts, hungry for God’s Word and eager to grow in their walk with Christ.
Each session carried a special weight of grace. The Word of God was preached with clarity, conviction, and power. Testimonies were shared that inspired faith, prayers were lifted with passion, and lives were touched in profound ways. Many men made fresh commitments to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, and we celebrate the transformation that will not only impact individual lives but also strengthen families, churches, and communities for years to come.
The presence of God was evident throughout the conference in worship, in teaching, and in moments of deep prayer. We witnessed repentance, renewal, and a rekindled zeal for Kingdom service. Hearts were stirred to embrace God’s call with greater courage and dedication, and leaders were equipped to serve with wisdom and humility.
We are deeply grateful to our U4A partners who prayed, supported, and served tirelessly to make this gathering possible. Your labor of love, both seen and unseen, is a testimony of faithfulness, and we believe the fruit of this conference will continue to abound to God’s glory.
As we rejoice in all that God has done, our hearts are filled with faith for what is ahead. We look forward to next year’s Men’s Conference with great expectation, trusting God for an even greater outpouring, a wider reach, and deeper transformation. May the Lord continue to raise up men who will stand firm in faith, lead their families with godliness, and serve the church and society with integrity. To God alone be the glory!
TRANSFORMING LIVES ONE HOUSE AT A TIME – OLTIASIKA
During our ministry and evangelism outreaches in Maasai communities, we are often welcomed by women into their traditional houses. While the hospitality is always generous, our hearts are deeply moved as we see the difficult conditions many families live in. This burden led us to pray and trust God for ways to bring transformation by offering not just spiritual encouragement but also practical help in improving lives.
Through the support of Unite 4 Africa partners, this month we had the privilege of building a new home for Mrs. Nadutari Kupany, complete with a water storage tank to tap water during the rainy season. Her need came to light during our community outreach last month. U4A leadership was moved to facilitate a construction program for the most vulnerable.
In her own heartfelt words, Mrs. Kupany shared, “I never imagined I would one day live in a proper house. I used to sleep with fear whenever it rained, because the roof would leak and the walls would be dripping. But now, I have a safe, clean, and beautiful house. I thank God for Unite 4 Africa leadership. May God bless you richly.” Her testimony is a powerful reminder of how God answers prayers and how practical acts of love can transform lives and restore dignity. We are grateful for every partner who makes such stories possible, and we pray that many more families will experience similar transformation in the days ahead.

STRENGTHENING THE BOND OF ONENESS
After many years of ministry in Maasai land through outreach, evangelism, and church planting, we have encountered a wide range of challenges that couples face in their marriages. Recognizing this need, and with a desire to strengthen families, Zion Baptist Mailitisa organized a Couples’ Conference with the theme of Oneness in Marriage.
The conference provided both a biblical and practical perspective on marriage, emphasizing God’s original design for unity between husband and wife. Key teachings included:
Marriage is a covenant, not a contract
True oneness requires intentional communication
Mutual love and respect are vital
Spiritual alignment strengthens lasting unity
The sessions were not only insightful but also deeply moving. Couples engaged in discussions, prayer, and times of reflection that brought healing and renewed commitment. One couple shared their testimony, “We came feeling distant, but after the sessions we left feeling closer than we’ve been in months.” We thank God for such moments of transformation. Strengthened marriages mean stronger families, healthier churches, and more vibrant communities. Our prayer is that the seeds planted during this conference will continue to grow and bear fruit for generations to come.

GOATS, GRACE AND GROWING FAITH FOR 3 ORPHANED CHILDREN
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD,and he will repay him for his deed.
(Proverbs 19:17)
Jeremiah, Moses, and Agnes, are siblings who have gone through heartbreaking experiences. They are orphans whose lives have been touched in remarkable ways through the partnership of Unite 4 Africa. These children not only lost both parents, but Jeremiah also witnessed the tragic murder of his father. Such painful experiences call for more than material help—they require love, care, and psycho-spiritual support. Through the “Goat for Orphans” project, and additional educational support, U4A partners have stepped in to walk alongside them. Receiving their first goats gave these children more than a means of livelihood; it gave them encouragement, dignity, and hope. They began to experience the practical love of God in ways that touched their hearts deeply.
In the beginning, the children were withdrawn, downcast, and disconnected from church life. But small acts of kindness began to spark transformation. Agnes was the first to start attending Sunday services after receiving her goat. Later, Moses followed when he was blessed with a full school uniform. Today, both Agnes and Moses are actively involved in children’s ministry, joyfully participating in services and growing in their faith. Their pastor testifies of the change he has seen: two children once silent and withdrawn now full of life and actively engaged in the house of God. This is truly the fruit of love in action. We continue to pray and trust God that Jeremiah too will be drawn closer to God. His journey is ongoing, and we believe the same God who began this good work will bring it to completion. Their story remind us that simple, practical gifts like a goat or a school uniform can open doors for lasting spiritual and emotional transformation. Truly, this is what it means to change lives.

SOCCER BALLS, A GIFT OF JOY
A visiting team of U4A partners and leadership visited our school. Among the many moments of laughter, encouragement, and friendship they shared, one stood out in a beautiful way, the gift of soccer balls. Our children often create their own playthings out of readily available materials. With great creativity, they made balls from plastic bags and twine. Those handmade balls have been used to play games filled with excited shouts and fun in our dusty playground. Yet when the visiting team placed brand new soccer balls into the hands of the children, their faces lit up, beaming with joy and thankfulness.
The image of our students gladly holding both their well-loved handmade balls and the new gifts side by side is a reminder of where they have come from and the bright possibilities that lie ahead. The new balls are not only for play, but they also symbolize the care, and the love of friends from far away who believe in their joy and their future. We are deeply grateful for this gift and appreciate our dear friends and partners who visited us. Thank you for giving our children not just soccer balls but also letting them know they are valued and remembered.

We spent time with over 25 young men and women to get them exposed to the basics for how the Church can be involved in helping people get developed physically, emotionally, spiritually and economically. Through the lessons participants got to realized that God’s intention and provision is all geared at the whole person and not some aspects alone.
Some of the topics discussed include the Great Commission and the Great Commandment, Evangelism in a CHE program, God’s vision for Community, Worldview and Development, Comparing Relief and Development, Needs and Resources of the community, and defining good health, among others.
On the last day of the training participants had the following to say: “I now understand why we have seen little transformation in the lives of most of the people in my community as they only focus on the spiritual and leaving out other aspects of their lives.” “I never knew that we have abundant resources in our community which are unnoticed.” “All along I was thinking I am healthy but now I know that good health goes beyond the physical outlook.”
Participants left with the zeal to begin to put what they have learnt into practice by doing simple projects in their communities.
TRAINNING OF TRAINERS
Time was spent to assist Trainers who will intend to go and train Church Planters and Disciple Makers. Skills for training are very crucial especially when it comes to the Training of those who have the task of training Church Planters and Disciple Maker.
It was a great time of learning together and picking up basic skills on managing a training center and helping people develop generational thinking when it comes to reaching the unreached and getting the Gospel across to all people.
PRAYER NEEDS
Pray for Samson as he goes to Sierra Leone to assist in facilitating two separate trainings.
Pray for the upcoming trainings in three different regions of Ghana.
Pray for all those persecuted for their faith in Christ that nothing will cause them to waiver in their faith.
Yours in His Vineyard Samson Abukari – Country Director, Ghana
