SEMPEWUETI WATER PIPELINE PROJECT– OLDOINYO OROK LOCATION
Communities in Kenya’s arid and semi-arid areas are often hard-hit by prolonged dry seasons, causing acute water shortage and subsequent suffering among people and livestock. However, after many years of struggle, a water pipeline has heralded a new dawn for Sempewueti community in Oldoinyo Orok locations in Oloilelai Subcounty. The project was implemented through a partnership between Unite 4 Africa and Sempewueti community. A few months ago, Dr. Okongo, the president of Unite 4 Africa, had met with the leadership of Sempewueti Community. Unite 4 Africa bought long PN8 pipes that were used in supplying water to the community from Oldoinyo Orok mountain.
This water supply project now ensures water access for about 1,600 households (approximately 3,500 people), one school, and approximately 6,000 livestock.
Women in this area recall having to walk long distances in search of water and how they would leave at dawn only to return later in the day. Some of them relied on hand-dug wells in dry riverbeds and would often experience conflicts between those fetching water for household use and herders over the order of priority, which is now a problem in the past.
We render our appreciation to our dedicated U4A partners for your generous support as we pray that the water source will continually flow with water for the benefit of this community and those around it.

SIX NEW MOTORBIKES FOR PASTORS IN MAASAI COMMUNITY
We are glad to share an update on the provision of an additional six motorbikes to pastors last month through the support of partners and friends of Unite 4 Africa. These motorbikes have become invaluable tools, significantly impacting the ministries, families, and communities of these pastors in multiple ways including economical, spiritual, social and ministerial upgrade.
The pastors are now able to reach more people with the Gospel due to ease of transport to distant villages. The motorbikes also provide a much-needed income, as some pastors use them for taxi services to support their families. This economic boost has not only improved their financial stability but has also allowed them to serve their congregations with greater peace of mind.
One particularly touching testimony comes from the Gladys Chepkosgei, wife to Pastor Samuel Ole Yoab. She is a person with a physical disability and was so thankful as she shared how this motorbike will greatly improve their quality of life. Now, with this provision, their mobility and ability to serve together have been significantly enhanced. What a blessing!
We continue to give thanks for the generosity of those who have made this possible. The impact of these motorbikes goes beyond transportation to become a means of empowerment, enabling pastors to minister more effectively while also caring for their families. We pray that this initiative will continue to bear fruit to the glory of God.

GOATS-FOR-ORPHANS PROJECT KINAMBA, LAIKIPIA COUNTY.
And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ (Mathew 25:40)
The goat-for-orphans project has been positively touching lives in different regions in our nation and this is due to the continuous support received from our U4A partners. We had the opportunity to identify and gift some deserving orphans in Kinamba, Laikipia West County. This region is classified as one of the hardship areas by the government of Kenya.
We observed that many of these orphans are under the care of their aging grandmothers. One of the elderly grandmothers was emotionally stirred as she said that this was the first time for someone to come alongside her to support her grandchild. Her words pierced my heart deeply as it dawned on me that sometimes help can take a long time coming.
While we appreciated that U4A was the first one to come to this area with a goat project for orphans, yet it reveals the need and urgency to move forward with speed and show God’s compassion to many more orphans. What a blessing to know that as we do this to these children, we are doing it for Christ.
