Introduction As the year came to a close, we were reminded of the profound message of peace that entered the world over two thousand years ago in Bethlehem. This peace, embodied in the humble birth of Christ, is not merely the absence of conflict but the restoration of what is broken into wholeness. As Unite […]
Forgiveness and Obedience A few days ago, I was privileged to have dinner with the founder of Unite 4 Africa, Okongo Samson. We were joined by one of Unite 4 Africa’s leaders who oversees home churches in a country of Northern Africa. This country is a place where professing Christ can literally result in a […]
The Remarkable Journey of Abera Dechasa In a world where faith can sometimes lead to unimaginable trials, the story of Abera Dechasa stands as a powerful testimony to the strength of Believers and the transformative power of our Gospel of Jesus Christ. Abera, a young Christian man from Adama, Ethiopia, faced a shocking and painful […]
Restored Relationship in Nkare Nanyuki Resulting to Greater Kingdom Impact In the month of August 2023, I was traveling with Dr. Okongo Samson and had the opportunity to meet with a group of pastors who had theological, denominational and minor doctrinal differences which brought disagreements between them. This was accentuated by different leadership styles and […]
Community Outreach It is a joy to see those trained living out what they have been taught. The young men in a local Church did some series of outreaches to the communities, they have been reaching out with the love of Christ. On one occasion they went to one of the communities with health kits […]
Empowering Women and Girls the Jesus Way One of the most impactful revelations my wife Jeannie and I experienced while visiting villages in Kenya and Ethiopia recently was how women and girls are being empowered there by Unite 4 Africa. There are many culturally endemic problems women, and adolescent and younger girls face in rural […]
Pastors and Leaders Empowerment Several years ago, Dr. Okongo started discipling Pastor Yohana Ntengese Meeli. Shortly after, U4A empowered him with a motorbike. This initiative is part of U4A’s ongoing mission to support pastors and enhance their mobility to reach out to their communities, spread the gospel and fulfill their pastoral duties more effectively while […]

John Tabor, a previous Board member, and longtime friend and supporter of U4A wrote the following in December of 2014: “The water of the Awash River in Ethiopia was cold but the enthusiasm was more than warm- it was very hot with anticipation and expectation. There was a discernible buzz among the more than 150 […]

1.God Can Use Anyone Who is Available God does not discriminate based on physical abilities, and He can work through anyone who is willing to follow His call and serve others. With the right support and encouragement, physically challenged individuals can be powerful agents of change and inspiration in the church and beyond. Ultimately, God […]
REAL LIFE IN A SIMPLE GIFT Most of the time things that are seen to be of value to others are insignificant in the sight of others. This is played out exactly in the goats’ project that U4A undertakes regularly. We have seen many appreciate a simple gift of a goat over and over again. […]
The Day I Met a Hero of the Faith (In the most unexpected place) It never occurred to us when my wife and I visited an extremely remote village in Kenya that we would meet a modern-day hero of the faith. Someone whose story embodies James chapter 5 verse 16: “The prayer of a righteous […]
‘This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. ‘(1 John 4:9-10) INTRODUCTION God has […]
