Kenya Updates – February 2025
NEW YEAR WITH NEW BEGINNINGS AT OLOLEPO COMMUNITY
We are excited to announce that in January 2025, a new school building was successfully completed. What a wonderful way to start the year with a new facility that will be used to shape the future of our children and the community at large for generations to come!
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without U4A’s generous donors, partners, churches, and individuals who have faithfully supported this mission. Your prayers, generosity, and partnership have laid the foundation for something truly transformative. Already, 55 children have enrolled at the elementary level and what a relief that they will not have to walk such a long distance to go to what was previously the nearest school!
As we press on in 2025, the vision grows bigger! We look forward to more growth, more impact, and more lives changed for God’s glory! Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are building a brighter future!

NEW CLASSES AT ENGABOLI PRIMARY SCHOOL – MAILTISA
The education sector in our nation has been undergoing some changes that required more classrooms built in primary schools and this has been a been a big challenge in some communities. Thankfully, I was glad to participate in groundbreaking for the construction of two classrooms. This will go a long way to creating a conducive environment for empowering our children with education.
Many schools in the Maasai community are open to spiritual empowerment and therefore many students get the opportunity to hear the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. We continue to appreciate our U4A partners for trusting us and walking with us as we empower communities for Christ.

NEW CONVERTS – ZION BAPTIST
The Gospel is the power of God that leads to salvation for those who believe, therefore those who have been called are mandated to deliver the Gospel in simplicity and not tire in telling it over and over again, since Good News is better heard often. In one of the Sunday services in the month of January, we shared the message of salvation. To our amazement, those we thought had been believers in Christ and have been in church for a number of years, were the first to come forward to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. This brought a moment of joy to see 5 of those who have been singing in the choir unashamedly come to the front and accept Christ before the congregation. This was also a huge lesson for me as a pastor to continually share the Gospel and give the people opportunity to respond.

EDUCATING THE VULNERABLE IN HARDSHIP AREAS.
Orphans are often among the most marginalized people groups all over the world. It pleases God when He sees us thinking and taking care of the very needy among us. Josephine Mwalii and her sister Miriam are total orphans who live in a semi-arid region where economic activities and food production is very low.
Miriam, the younger sister has been on our support program from last year but we didn’t know that her older sister also had a similar challenge of lacking tuition fees. For Josephine, things were tougher because as a final year student in high school, she was required to cease being a day scholar and board in school which would cost more, over and above the tuition fees.
Thankfully, we were able to pay her tuition fees and buy the items that were lacking to facilitate her to become a boarder and she is now able to study comfortably through the help of U4A partners. We appreciate our partners for being generous to those in need and rich in good works, always being ready to share with others (1Timothy 6:18, NLT).
