Note from the Board- December 2018

Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need”.

The work that Unite for Africa is doing is expanding the Kingdom of God.  Every year, thousands of people are reached for Christ by local pastors and evangelists trained by U4A.  U4A focuses on self-sustaining ministry. Among these efforts are training and equipping local leaders to reach their own communities, providing orphans with livestock that can be raised and bred to multiply and provide for the family that adopts the orphan into their family, and by promoting businesses that can sustain the local ministry staff.

The Ethiopian country leaders of Unite for Africa are launching a charter bus business to provide income to cover the cost of their ministry staff.  An anonymous donor has agreed to match gifts up to $20,000 for this purpose. We have presently raised a little over $7,000 towards the matching $20,000 gift, so we need to raise another $13,000 as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to be part of U4A’s self-sustaining work in Africa. Your gifts can help the Ethiopian leadership of U4A create local jobs and become self-supporting in their ministry work.

There are other high impact giving opportunities with U4A.  Giving to support the animals for orphans’ changes the life of orphans.  Water projects that enable rural communities to have fresh clean water.  Supporting training events enables local pastors to be refreshed and equipped to reach their communities with the gospel.

If you are interested in supporting U4A, you can go to unite4africa.org and click on the “Donate Now” button.  If you are interested in going on a mission trip to Africa or supporting U4A in other ways, contact us and let us know.  We would love your support.
