Ghana Updates – May 2021

“Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives sight or makes them blind? Is not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (Exodus 4:10-12)

Introduction

Often times we have and give excuses as to why we are not fit to do some of the things the Lord has placed on our hearts or spoken directly to us through the Holy Spirit. However, we can be encouraged by the assurances given to Moses by the Lord that He Himself will help us speak and even teach us what to say. Are you struggling with something in your heart over a conviction the Lord has given you about something? Do not hesitate yield to Him and things will fall into their rightful places.

Africa TTI Operations Summit

Samson has been made the Northern Ghana zone leader for The Timothy Initiative Program. It is a church planting and discipleship training organization. He had the privilege of participating in the Africa operations summit held in Accra. Some strategies were identified to help in leadership improvement and the mentoring of other leaders under his guidance.

Village Savings and Loans

The first cycle of the Village Savings and Loans started by Samson for some women and few men ended recently and it was a great joy speaking with some of them after they received their contributions. Madam Mary said “the loan has been so helpful to me in many ways. She said that aside the lessons being learnt during the meetings, I have been able to purchase a goat for rearing. Many more women have shown interest in joining the group and we are thinking of offering this program again.

Seed of Hope Broadcast is One Year

The Seed of Hope Broadcast is now a year old by the awesome grace of God. Lives continue to be impacted through this weekly broadcast and we cannot but praise the Lord for sustaining it and touching lives through it. One of the regular listeners of the program who has constantly monitor and call in had this to share when her family visited; “I am thankful to God for this program for it has really shaped my life and given me hope and I believe it has done so for several other people. I used to easily become upset and sometimes insulted and threatened to fight with those who speak against Christianity. However, your lessons on patience and obedience has totally transformed my life and I will now begin to pray for those who are against us”.

Prayer Needs

• Thank God for the leadership responsibilities He has placed in our hands and pray for grace to function as He desires.
• Pray for our mentorship and Discipleship Movement group as each of us intentionally begin to pick up a community each to pray for the community daily and following the leading of the Holy Spirit to engage them with the Gospel.
• Continue to pray for the Seed of Hope Radio Broadcast that many will come to the saving knowledge of Christ and that those who are already in Christ will be built up to maturity.
• Pray for the upcoming TOT for the Timothy Initiative trainers.
