Ghana Update – September 2019
“Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.” (Revelation 4:9-11)
Introduction
We give praise and honor to the Lord for who He is and for what He has continued to do in our lives. May His name be praised forever and ever. We can only join the twenty-four elders in saying worthy is our Lord and God to receive honor and power.
Community Health Evangelism (CHE) Training
As part of our preparation for intentional multiplication and strategically promoting transformation and Discipleship in new communities, we were blessed to have 3 days of intensive training in Community Health Evangelism. It was an exciting moment and very encouraging hearing comments from participants such as: “I now have a broader understanding regarding the great commission and the great commandment”, I now know that good health goes just beyond physical health and that local resources have the power to turn things around.
Marketplace Discipleship Training
We were very blessed to undergo a two day marketplace discipleship training to enable us equip participants to see their work and business as worship unto the Lord. Participants took lessons that empowered them to be intentional ambassadors of Christ right at their places of work and sales.
Coaching Group
The Coaching group has been equipped with more tools for sharing Christ with friends and family in addition to the Discovery Bible Studies. In the next few weeks they will be doing prayer walk in the Kukuo community and will continue same in four other communities as they look forward to breaking chains that have bound people and kept them away from the Gospel of Christ. Alongside the prayer the group will also be opening up to the Holy Spirit to lead them in identifying men of peace.
Updates on Construction at Moglaa Model School
Construction of the concrete poles and beams is almost done and they are to continue to mould blocks for gabbles to be built on the beams to then pave way for roofing to be done.
2019 Goals and funding needs
These are the goals and funding needs for 2019 and we look forward to partners who want to take up any of the goals to assist us get them implemented and achieved.
Annual convention
The International Baptist Women’s Ministry the Women’s wing of the Ghana International Baptist Convention had their 11th Annual convention under the theme “Arise, Shine your light has come” (Isaiah 60:1). It was a great joy see the women learn and excited to put what they have jointly studied to practice as they made a decision to shine in their marriages, homes, work places and communities.
