Ghana Update-February 2019

“He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. So he fed them according the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.” (Psalm 78:70-72)

To God be the glory for His steadfast love which never ceases. We are Blessed to be in the second month of the year 2019 with a renewed sense of hope that the Lord who began with us will continue to strengthen us to accomplish all that is ahead of us to do in relation to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

CHE Training in Volta Region

By the grace of God we held our first ever Women Cycle of Life Training in Northern Ghana. This was done in collaboration with the Savelugu Local Council of Churches. We were privilege to have Shyla and Jammie Trompkins facilitate the training for us. Participants right from day one to the end of the training were very active. About six of the women showed interest in undergoing further training to enable them greatly influence their families and communities.

Establishment of a Coaching Group

By the grace of God Samson with the help of the Leadership of the local Church that he is now offering Pastoral leadership Janjori Kukuo Baptist Church of Northern Region in Ghana has started a Coaching group with a current total of 14 people. The group meets weekly and currently being groomed with basic principles of leadership and Discovery Bible Studies. Bible Story telling will soon be integrated into the lessons to offer the members the opportunity to freely share the Gospel in the local community and the surrounding communities.

Literacy Lessons Established

Weekly Literacy lessons have been initiated for close to 35 adults who desire to be able to read the local language with the ultimate aim of having encounter with God’s word by themselves through reading. The Enthusiasm has been great and we trusting the Lord sustain it and cause it to lead to rapid understanding and the ability to read.

Time with Kids of the Community

It was all joy when Samson decided to spend His New Year activities with the Kids of the Janjori Kukuo community where he is now offering Pastoral leadership. It was a moment of joy sharing some bible stories with the kids and guiding them to pick up some moral lessons from the stories.
