Adiboo Plants a new church
The Adiboo hub started the year which promises to be an action year with planting of a new church at Kpaachehi near Adiboo. Like any other communities in Dagbong, Kpaachehi is predominantly a Muslim community which is hostile to Christianity. The church was established under the leadership of Pastor Paul Salifu who is also the Hub leader for Adiboo. The church currently has a membership of about 37.
Shalom Baptist Church Organizes Jesus Party at Kushibo.
As usual, the Shalom Baptist Church which is passionate about winning children and young adults for Christ launched deep yet another evangelistic strategy. The strategy was termed “Visit One, Bring One Jesus Party”.
This was a mission strategy where young men and women numbering about 100 went out in groups of three. They told Jesus’ stories and other Biblical stories as is taught in Bridges. As they witnessed they also invited their colleagues to dine with them at the Party.
No house was left unreached in the community of Kushibo. So many young men and women came out that there was nearly no room to accommodate and enough food to feed them. The objective was to evangelize the community. In the end, 5 young people (3 males and 2 females) made the decision to come to church however, secretly.
It can be recalled that there is an ongoing persecution for young people and some adults who openly make decisions to follow Christ here in Northern Ghana.
Prayer points
- Prayer for the newly established church at Kpaachehi in the Adiboo hub to be strong and survive in the midst of persecutions.
