Kumbungu Gets 11 New Converts
The Kumbungu Hubis led by Pastor David Alhassan who is the head Pastor of Kumbungu Assemblies of God local church. On the 15 and 16 of March 2013, Pastor David and his church together with other bridges trainees from his hub staged a crusade at a community called Dalun in the Kumbungu district of the northern region of Ghana. Unite for Africa (U4A) provided the main speaker for the 2 days evangelical work in the person of Rev. Silas Sulemana who is U4A board treasurer because of our collaborative work with local churches in our operational areas.
The night preaching services were always preceded by house to house and person to person evangelism using bridges methods of Bible stories. As they told the Bible stories they invited people to the evening preaching and teaching services. In all, 11 new souls were won from the 2 days mission work. A new church has therefore been established at Dalung near Kumbungu.
Najong No.2 Gets 2 new Churches with 161 new converts
Najong 2 is one key community in the Nakpandure hub in northern Ghana. Rev Natuka Dawuda is the hub leader of the Nakpandure hub and also the head pastor of the Assemblies of God church at Nojong 2. Through the telling of Jesus and other Bible stories, 2 new churches have been established at the Binkura and the Bufok communities in the Nakpandure hub. While Binkura has a total number of 65 new converts, Bufok has 96 new converts making a total of 161 new converts.
Communal clashes at Nakpandure
Though the Nakpandure hub is leaving no stone unturned in their bit to capture the area for Christ, yet the devil has also found a method of inhibiting the spread of the gospel by way of ethnic clashes. The clashes were between the Bimobas and Konkombas about 3 weeks ago leaving some people dead and many injured. None of the U4A leaders were among the dead and injured. Nevertheless, it has hampered communication system between us and the daily activities of church planters. Since the start of the communal violence, all attempts to reach out to the leaders have proved futile.
Prayers Needs
- Pray for God to establish and strengthen the new converts
- Pray for peace in the Nakpandure area between the Bimobas and the Konkombas.
