Langbinsi – Gets 45 New Converts
The leadership of the Langbinsi hub in the northern parts of Ghana leaves no stone unturned in their quest to evangelize the entire north of Ghana which hitherto has been dominated by Islam.
“Bridges training has made evangelism so simple for us”, this is the confession of one of the local Pastors in Langbinsi. Bible story telling is a daily activity of Pastor Asher Mohammed who is the hub leader for the Langbinsi Hub and some of the youth in his church. This adventure took them to the communities of Bongbinni and Gbango near Langbinsi.
Their daily effort attracted some other missionaries from Nalerigu where the Ghana Baptist Convention has established a medical center. One day in late 2012 the team complemented the efforts of these bible story tellers with a medical outreach in the said communities. Later, Pas Asher and his team supported by another missionary team went out on two occasions for Bible story telling. A total of 60 people got converted.
By 15th of December 2012, 45 regular church attendants out of the 60 converts were baptized into the church of God. The church is established at Bongbinni. In due time, we will send pictures of the Baptism of the 45 converts. This indeed is a great harvest in the context of northern Ghana where Islam predominates.
