Ethiopia Update- January 2017

Dear Friends,

we are so thankful for you! Thank you for praying and supporting what God have called us to do! We thank The Lord for you and your commitment to stand together alongside with us in the vision to “Reach the Unreached and Help the Helpless and Give One Chance to Every Person”. We don’t take your partnership and what you have done for the Lord in the past year for granted but lift you up to The Lord with thanksgiving!

Breakthrough in the Northern part of Ethiopia

Northern part of Ethiopia is one of the regions in the country that is resistant for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Few years ago God has given us direction to go to the region and plant church. And we sent a missionary named by Mesfin Mengistu in the town called Bahirdar which is the capital city of the Amhara region. God has given him an open door to preach the gospel and win many souls.

Last month we have baptized 12 people in the beautiful lake called Tana. Our church in that town is growing and its members reach to more than 50. Since the region is one of the unreached areas in Ethiopia, this result is very encouraging for us to keep pressing on in our works of evangelism and church planting.

The evangelism and church planting movement in the central part of Oromiya region still continues. More than 500 people are ready to take water baptism in the month of March this year.

New facility of Training center in Nazareth/Adama

We have started Leadership and mission trainings in our new training facility in Nazareth/Adama/. More than 100 leaders and local missionaries and church workers have attended our programs. This program aims to multiply more leaders for the work of God in the central part of Oromiya region in the country. Thousands of people are giving their lives to Christ and hundreds of new churches are being planted in the region every year. So, Discipleship & Training are one of the key tools to accelerate this movement and to have healthy and sustainable churches in the regions.

Here under is our prayer request for you as you always lift us in your prayers:-

• Please thank God because the situation in Ethiopia getting much better. Now we can move anywhere in the country to preach, teach and visit our churches. Things have come to the normal condition.
• Please join us in praying for all things to go as The Lord wants in this new year.
• Pray for all our school, goats and other projects to impact the lives of our communities.
• Please pray for our planning of all our training events that have been scheduled for this New Year. May God would provide us all the required budgets and use it to change many lives for His Glory.\
• Please keep praying for all our ministers and families for protections and all their needs to be met by our mighty God.
