Ethiopa Update – January 2013
God has done tremendous things in our midst even in the month of December. Churches are being planted, ministers are being trained, our schools are keep continuing shaping the lives of the children. The following activities are among the many.
I. New schools have opened in Welenchity and Doni towns.
So far we have only the Wanjishawa school that operates in our region. But now, our churches in the towns called Welenchity and Donni have opened KG schools for their community.
Currently, we have 85 children in Doni town and 125 children in Welenchity. The orphans have got the access for education and the community have benefited a lot from these schools. The students get biblical teachings with formal education.

II. Donation of goats has changed the lives of our orphans
We have donated nearly 30 goats for our orphans in the year 2012. This support has changed the lives of orphans in our region. Most of the goats have re-produced themselves and the orphans are get exited about it.
Birke is one of the beneficiaries in this project. Her goats gave her twins goats and she sold one of it and buy clothes for her. She has a plan to keep the other one so that she will get more goats in the near future.

I would like to thank all our partners for standing besides of us in your prayers and in partnering with us in our various programs. In my conclusion I send the following prayer requests to all of you so that you will keep praying for us:
-
- Pray for the Welenchity and Donni schools that may God would help us to complete the two class rooms so that they will be able to open grade one by next year
- Pray for the Wanjishawa school that may God would help them to complete the laboratory room so that they will be able to get a permit paper from the local government to open grade seven class by next year
- Pray for all our regional and local church leaders and coordinators may God would use them mightily to transform their own community in wholistic approach.
- There will be a great event to conduct a mass baptism after two months, so pray for the new converts in the region that may God strengthen them in their faith even through they have been passing through in various challenges and hardships from their own Muslim families and communities. There are nearly 500 people are ready to take water baptism.
