Kenya Update – October 2026
Empowering pastors with motorbikes
We would like to sincerely acknowledge and appreciate Unite 4 Africa (U4A) and Hope Community Church (HCC) for their generous support in providing motorbikes to pastors serving in churches where transportation is a significant challenge. We are especially grateful to Dr. Okongo, President of Unite 4 Africa, and Pastor Randy Brainard, Senior Pastor of Hope Community Church, for presenting the motorbikes and making this important ministry support possible.
For pastors who travel long distances to serve their congregations, reliable transportation is not a luxury it is an important ministry tool. The motorbikes are helping pastors travel more easily to their churches, visit church members and families in their homes, respond to pastoral needs, and reach people in remote areas.
The motorbikes are also providing practical support for pastors and their families. In addition to serving as a reliable means of transportation, they can provide an opportunity for income generation and help pastors meet important family responsibilities, including taking children to school, transporting supplies, and attending to daily needs.
This initiative is therefore more than simply providing transportation. It is an investment in pastors, their families, and the churches and communities they serve. By reducing transportation challenges, pastors are better equipped to remain connected with their congregations, care for families, and extend the ministry of the church to more people.
We are deeply grateful to Unite 4 Africa and Hope Community Church for standing with these pastors and investing in their ministry. We pray that these motorbikes will continue to be valuable tools for ministry, family support, and community transformation for many years to come.

Opening of the newly constructed church at Indoinyo Community
The month of September was a significant and joyful season for the Christian community at Indoinyo Community, as a newly constructed church building was officially opened and dedicated for ministry. This milestone represents the continued growth of the Gospel and the impact of evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and leadership development within the community.
The opening of the church was made possible through the commitment and partnership of various ministry leaders and supporters who have a strong desire to see the Word of God reach more people and communities.
Our Unite 4 Africa ministry continues to place a strong emphasis on evangelism and church planting. Through these efforts, communities are being reached with the Gospel, new believers are being discipled, and local churches are being established to provide a lasting spiritual foundation for God’s people.
Unite 4 Africa has been instrumental in supporting church-planting initiatives, discipleship programs, and the empowerment of church leaders. Through this support, local leaders are encouraged and equipped to serve their communities, disciple new believers, and continue the work of spreading the Gospel.
The establishment of the new church at Indoinyo Community is an encouraging testimony of what can be accomplished when churches, leaders, and ministry partners work together toward a common mission.
In September, Dr. Okongo, President of United for Africa, together with Pastor Randy Brainard of Hope Community Church, had the privilege of helping to officially open the newly constructed church at Indoinyo Community.
The occasion brought together church leaders, members of the local community, and other ministry partners to celebrate this important achievement. The new church building provides a dedicated place where believers can gather for worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and discipleship.
Beyond being a physical structure, the church represents a new opportunity for ministry and community transformation. It will serve as a center from which the Gospel can continue to be shared, new believers can be nurtured, and future leaders can be raised and equipped for ministry.
We are grateful for the partnership and support that have contributed to this achievement. We also recognize the dedication of local church leaders and members whose commitment, prayers, and service have helped make this vision a reality.
We look forward to seeing the church grow and become a strong instrument for evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and community transformation. May this new church continue to be a beacon of hope and a place where the Gospel is proclaimed, and lives are transformed for generations to come.

Supporting girls’ education and dignity at Ngatataek Comprehensive School
This month, U4A, together with a team from HCC, visited Ngatataek Comprehensive School to engage with and support girls from underprivileged families within the community.
During the visit, the team held an empowering conversation with the girls about education, self-confidence, dignity, and the importance of staying in school. The team also donated dignity pads to help address the challenges that many girls face during menstruation.
This initiative goes beyond providing sanitary products. It is about protecting dignity, removing barriers to education, and creating equal opportunities for girls to learn, grow, and achieve their dreams.
For girls from vulnerable families, access to menstrual hygiene products can make a significant difference in their ability to attend school consistently and participate fully in their education. By supporting these girls, we are helping to ensure that menstruation does not become a barrier to education or a reason for a girl to miss school.
Unite 4 Africa and Hope Community Church remain committed to empowering girls, strengthening communities, and investing in a future where every child—girl or boy—has an equal opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

More than a goat
Planting hope, responsibility, and opportunity
Sometimes, a simple gift can carry a much bigger message.
During the recent visit of our team from the United States, we witnessed beautiful moments of joy as goats were given to orphaned and vulnerable children. The smiles of the children, the joy of their guardians, and the excitement of our visiting team reminded us that this was more than giving a goat it was giving hope.
For some children, the connection with some donors has become so meaningful that they have chosen to name their goats after the people who gave them. What a beautiful expression of respect, love, and gratitude. A donor may be thousands of miles away, yet their name lives on in the daily life of a child they helped.
A gift that teaches stewardship
The goat is not simply an asset; it is an opportunity to learn.
The child is entrusted with the responsibility of providing food and water, caring for the animal, protecting it, and watching it grow. Through this simple responsibility, children learn stewardship, discipline, patience, commitment, and accountability.
And the impact can multiply. As goats reproduce, one goat can become several, potentially providing a growing resource that can contribute toward education, food, healthcare, and other family needs.
Our goal is not only to help children today, but to help them develop the ability to steward opportunities for tomorrow.
When partnership becomes personal
The recent visit from our U4A partners in the United States reminded us of the power of relationships. The joy was shared by the children, guardians, visitors, and those of us serving on the ground.
To our U4A partners, donors, and supporters, thank you for choosing to invest in these children.
Your generosity may look simple from a distance, but here in Kenya and Africa, it can become a child’s first experience of ownership, responsibility, and opportunity.
A goat can grow into a herd.
A gift can grow into a livelihood.
And an act of love can grow into a lifetime of hope.
Thank you for believing that every child is worth investing in.
Together, we are not just giving goats we are cultivating stewardship, dignity, and hope for the future.

Ololepo Living Water Springs
From a borehole to a source of life
There are moments when we look at what is happening in Ololepo and are reminded that what begins as a simple prayer can become a blessing far beyond what we imagined.
The Ololepo Living Water Springs borehole is becoming one of those stories.
For years, access to reliable water has been a significant challenge for families and communities in this area. When the borehole was drilled and water was found, it was a moment of great joy and thanksgiving. What began as a response to a community need is now developing into a wider water-access project.
We have now progressed and completed the solarization of the borehole, providing a more sustainable way to pump the water. The next important step is the installation of a water tower and storage tanks, followed by plumbing and distribution to different points.
Water for communities and schools
Our vision is for this water to reach surrounding communities and schools, helping meet essential needs such as drinking, hygiene, sanitation, and daily household activities.
For families who have experienced the burden of searching for water, reliable access can mean more than convenience. It can mean time saved, healthier families, greater dignity, and new opportunities.
For schools, it can contribute to a healthier environment where children can learn and grow.
Water for livestock and wildlife
The blessing will extend beyond people.
Livestock is an important part of many households in this region, and reliable water can help families care for the animals that contribute to their livelihoods.
We are also planning designated water points where wildlife can access water safely. Communities in this region live alongside wildlife, and providing water sources can contribute to reducing pressure on both people and animals during dry periods.
Our prayer is that this project will help promote peaceful coexistence and allow the blessing of water to reach people, livestock, and wildlife alike.
A project built for sustainability
Our goal is not simply to provide water today, but to establish a system that can serve the community for years to come.
We are therefore working toward a model in which the community participates in the stewardship of the water resource, including a small contribution toward maintenance where appropriate.
We want the community not only to receive the blessing, but also to value, protect, and sustain it.
From Kenya, thank you
As the U4A Kenya Outreach Director, I want to express my sincere gratitude to U4A, our partners, donors, supporters, and everyone who has prayed and contributed toward this project.
Every contribution has helped move this vision forward.
You may be thousands of miles away, but your generosity is making a tangible difference here in Kenya.
The borehole is drilled.
The solarization is completed.
The water tower is the next step.
And our vision is becoming clearer: water flowing to communities, schools, families, livestock, and wildlife.
What started beneath the ground is becoming a source of hope above it.
Thank you for helping us bring living water closer to those who need it.
Ololepo Living Water Springs
Water for life. Hope for communities. A blessing that flows beyond the well.

A source of life for Ololepo
Ololepo Living Water Springs is becoming much more than a borehole. Located within our church and school compound, it will directly serve Ololepo Community Church and Ololepo Hope Comprehensive School, providing reliable water for drinking, sanitation, cleaning, food preparation, and the daily needs of children, teachers, staff, and church members.
As the system develops, our vision is to extend water access to surrounding communities, schools, livestock, and designated wildlife drinking points.
For a community where people and animals often travel long distances in search of water, this can bring relief, dignity, healthier families, and greater opportunity.
What began beneath the ground is becoming a source of life for the wider community.
Water for our children. Water for our church. Water for families, livestock, and wildlife.
