Kenya Update - October 2019

WATER WELL IN MAILTISA – SIX YEARS AGO

Six years ago in Mailtisa, Kenya, there was acute shortage of water for both animals and people. And the only public water well (borehole) in the area was taken over by Muslims to use manage and use it at the Mosque. Anyone who wanted to fetch water, she will have to go to the mosque. This provided away for Muslims to do evangelism through free water and other ways of sponsorship and provision of relieve feeding during draught. Unite 4 Africa, through its friends and partners drilled water well at Rev Moses Rianto land and it was named “The Jesus Well” six years later, this Jesus well not only Impacted the lives of many from the community around, but also Rev Rianto family were able to do small farming that has helped to take care of the family in many ways. Please pray that the Lord may continue provide water for needy communities such as this one.

HOUSE OF HOPE CLINIC AND ORPHAN HOME – WIDOWS CONFERENCE

House of Hope planned for a widow’s conference at the Church hall at the clinic compound. Many widows from the surrounding areas of Kandaria and Katito attended the conference. This has been an opportunity to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus, encourage them, check their health and pray with them. Lets all pray for House of Hope as it shines its light in the community and help bring holistic transformation. Pray for water situation at House of Hope to improve or a permanent solution be found.

OLOSHAIKI BAPTIST CHURCH SCHOOL

Oloshaiki Church has been struggling to help young children attend school where they usually worship. The situation was so difficult as many parents bring their kids to school there. They dint have buildings and the Church building was not enough for them. When Rev. Okongo and Shyla visited with team from the US, they were touched to see the situation and they prayed and mobilized resources and now we thank God a nice classroom building is coming up. Please pray that God continue to provide for more classrooms.
