Kenya Update- June 2017

MATAPATO BIBLE SCHOOL RENOVATION

The Matapato Bible School in Maili Tisa, Kenya has been going through renovations to bring it back to life and have it as a Centre to empower pastors and church leaders with skills and knowledge to teach the local churches. Now the water lines and the Tank are installed. The Churches around here will now have opportunity to send their leaders to the Bible School near their homes.

SCHOOL FEEDING

Unite 4 Africa has continued to support needy schools with feeding. During the first few months of 2017, drought has persisted in many parts of Kenya forcing a lot of children from nomadic communities to move together with the cattle in search of greener pasture. Through the feeding program many children remained at home to attend school and so they can lunch at the school.

ADULT LITERACY AMONG THE MAASAI

Adult literacy has in recent times been embraced by the old among the maasai local women who never had chance to join school at a younger age. It started at Zion Baptist in 2016 and now we have started one more literacy class in Lumbwa community. This has seen even older women showing interest in learning so that they will be able to read their Bibles. Children and grandchildren are helping parents at home to read their bibles.

SALVATION

Our teams both at Maili Tisa and at House of Hope have been doing evangelism and we praise God that at the month of May, Fifteen people accepted Christ, 12 in Maili Tisa and 3 at House of Hope open air Crusades. We pray that God will help them grow spiritually as they join a church and learn the scriptures.
