Ghana Updates – August 2021

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:2-4)

Introduction

It is a great joy to a partaker in what Christ did for mankind. Our lives are now hidden in Christ and we will appear with him in glory. We have the opportunity to set our minds on things above and not on earthly things.

Missions Training

Samson had a privilege to facilitate the missions training put up by the Birthright ministries to get missionaries trained in order to reach the unreached people groups in Ghana and beyond. It was very insightful and we trust the Lord to use it for the expansion of His kingdom.

Goats Project

When mothers and their children who are saddened by the sudden departure of their husband and father have an opportunity to benefit from the goats project of Unite 4 Africa which seeks to empower them to meet the needs of such orphans in the future, a new sense of hope is always made available to them. Thanks to the partners who make this happen to bring smiles and hope to these ones.

Seed of Hope Radio Broadcast

The Seed of Hope Broadcast keeps blessing lives through the weekly broadcast which is enjoying so much listership amongst the populace in Northern Ghana. Some people have become regular listeners who say on the day and time of the broadcast unless they have tuned to listen to the end of the program they do not go anywhere.

Making Use of Opportunities

There are some opportunities that offer us a free platform to present the Gospel of Jesus to people whom it would have been difficult to get them to share the love of Christ with them. Such occasions include weddings and naming ceremonies. This normally brings families together both those who are Christians and those who have not yet said yes to Jesus. We do not take these opportunities lightly but make good use of them to present the gospel.

Prayer Needs
• Pray for the missionary training that is ongoing that workers will be made available for the harvest of souls especially, among the unreached people groups.
• Please continue to pray for the inhabitants of the Libga community who were exposed to the Gospel that they will make good decision to follow Christ.
• Pray for the Timothy Initiative trainers across Northern Ghana that their work will lead to new Church plants in the area.
• Continue to pray for the Seed of Hope Radio Broadcast that as we engage more with the listeners Christ will be glorified.
