Ghana Updates – April 2021
“When Jesus had received the drink, Jesus said, “it is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” (John 19:30)
Introduction
Our world is plagued with so much hopelessness, diseases, confusion and so many more but our Lord Jesus whose death and resurrection brings hope and restoration mankind on the cross of Calvary said that “it is finished”. This becomes a reality when one puts his/her trust in the finished work of Christ. Our prayer and hope is that we will intimately know Christ and the power in his death and resurrection.
Women Cycle of Life Training
It was an awesome moment having one of the people trained by Jammie and Shyla facilitate the Women Cycle of Life training in a community we have initiated some relationship to help us share the love of Christ in that community. The women of the community were so excited to learn some vital truths that can help improve upon their health and that of their families and community at large.
Sports Evangelism Training
As the Lord continues to direct and lead us in our walk with Him different strategies are continuously adopted to ensure that the Gospel is preached to people. As part of raising of leaders we have ventured into equipping our leaders with the ability to use sports alongside Discovery Bible Studies and storytelling to reach out with the Gospels. It was great spending three days in equipping leaders in that regards.
Prayer Conference
Prayer continues to play a major role in our ability to recognize the awesome power of the Lord at work anytime we agree that His ability surpasses human wisdom and understanding. It was great joining the Apostolic Word Global Missions in a prayer conference to pray for the nations and the nation Ghana for God’s intervention in the current happenings including the Covid -19 pandemic.
Seed of Hope Broadcast
We give praise to the Lord as more and more people keep testifying week after week how the Lord has blessed them through the weekly radio broadcast. Many have said that they have been rebuked by the Lord and others including people who are not yet followers of Christ. Recently, a woman who is still a “seeker” of the Lord told one of the Church members “ I listened to the teaching of your Pastor on radio and I came to the conclusion that one cannot remain unchanged after listening to such messages. I was really helped and I am determined to change”
Facilitation at Missionary Training School
This year Samson again had the opportunity to facilitate at the Globe Serve Missionary School leading the missionaries to learn about Church planting and the Book of Acts of the apostles. It has always been a great experience and reminder that the apostles were given a strategy and a means through which the Holy Spirit empowered them to impact the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Prayer Needs
• Praise God the success of the Women Cycle of Life and the Sports Evangelism training. And pray that lessons learnt from the training will be effectively implemented.
• Pray for the continued relationship building with the Kparigilanyili community where many are still afraid to say yes to Jesus that seekers will be bold to identify with Jesus.
• Continue to pray for the Seed of Hope Radio Broadcast that many will come to the saving knowledge of Christ and that those who are already in Christ will be built up to maturity.
Yours in His Vineyard
