Ghana Update – September 2013 – Paul Napari U4A Director, Ghana
In this issue from Ghana, stories are told from Najong 2 in the Nakpandure hub of the northern Ghana. In this hub there are about 9 churches that have been started.
Recently communications have been a challenge due to ethnic clashes between the Bimoba and Konkomba ethnic groups. This conflict has ended, but the area still remains sensitive.
Please pray for healing in this region.
BAFOCK NEW CHURCH
At the Bafock community near Najong 2 in the Nakpandure hub is an established church resulting from the house to house story telling by the local Pastor who benefitted from Bridges training in 2011. The new church currently has 23 members who regularly meet in a school building to worship every Sunday and also meet in the evenings to pray during the week.
BINKURA NEW CHURCH
At binkura community near Najong 2, another new church has been formed. There are 43 members in all. There is however the need to show the Jesus film there to strengthen and encourage the members there and also campaign for new members. This recommendation is by the hub leaders of the Nojong 2.
PLANS TO REACH OUT TO BINDE VILLAGE
The hub leaders are feverishly planning to launch bible story telling in their bid to establish more churches at Binde. Binde is not far from Najong 2 yet there is only 1 Catholic Church there and the hub leaders see the need to spring up more churches in the community.
