Ghana Update-March 2019

“Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:4-5)

What a God that we serve? Indeed, He is an awesome and Omnipotent God who is able to lift up all the valleys and make the mountains of our universe, nations and in individual lives low. And not just that alone but He also makes the uneven ground become level and every available rough places He makes plain. He has revealed His glory to us in His son Jesus what a blessing that we have received through Jesus Christ.

2019 Goals

The following are some of the Leadership goals that we trust the Lord for grace to accomplish as stated below:

10 Bridges Trainings

5 CHE vision Seminars

100 Animals for orphans

5 Women Cycle of Life Training

Global Leadership Summit

Initiate 5 house churches

Facilitate the multiplication of WCL mini trainings in communities

Lead and facilitate a national CHE conference

CHE Training at the City of Refuge

The Trompkins live and minister in Ghana at a place known as the City of Refuge. It is their heart desire to help impact the communities around them through the use of the CHE strategy. As a result of this, they decided to organize a CHE TOT 1 for their staff and therefore, extended a hand for Samson to come and assist them in facilitating the training. It was a great program and exposed participants to the CHE strategy and its potential in helping bring about transformation to communities. It was a great joy listening to participants make comments such as “you have helped me to learn and know how CHE works” and your lesson on teaching oral lessons has helped us greatly especially, those of us who are Pastors.”

Progress of Coaching Group

The Coaching Group established and facilitated by Samson is making great strides and has began home visits in the community for Prayer and I am glad that this giant step will surely lead us to see house Churches started very soon. The hope and desire is that the prayer will move into Bible studies soon which will eventually, lead us to see the needed surrender to Jesus and House churches started to His glory.

Family Life

The weekly family life series handled by Samson has seen significant improvement in marriages and has kept on increasing in terms of participation. Homes are under attack as a result of a weak or lacking Christian foundation in marriage and family life. It is as a result of this, that the family life series dubbed “the marriage you desired” was initiated to help both singles and young couples to meet weekly to learn and share biblical principles that will help us have strong families and marriages in accordance with biblical scriptures.

Sustainability challenge

One of our projects; the piggery set up to assist in the provision of regular income for our family and sustainability for operations of the activities of the organization has faced a great setback following the outbreak of a disease of pigs in the community where we have our pigs. The disease has wiped out the entire piggery of most people in the community. We therefore, had to sell out all the pigs in our piggery that could be sold to prevent them from being destroyed by the disease.

Prayer Needs

Remember to lift up these prayer needs before the Lord.

  • Thank God for the start of CHE internship at the Africa Internship Centre in Ghana and pray for the facilitators and interns to be able to go through the month long program.
  • Pray for grace to implement the goals for 2019.
  • Pray for Ghana team that God will continue to move in our nation and that the Gospel will affect lives and bring about the needed transformation.
  • Pray for U4A as it takes lead in the implementation of CHE in Ghana.
  • Pray for the pig disease to be wiped out, and for our ability to restart this self-sustaining business again soon.
