Ghana Update – December 2019
“For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us, whenever we call upon him? And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so righteous as all this law that I set before you today?” (Deuteronomy 4:7-8)
Introduction
As we get closer to the end of the year we say thank you to the Lord for how far He has brought us. Indeed, words cannot be used to describe the faithfulness and mercies of God.
Global Leadership Summit
Samson and Isaac were able to make it for this year’s Global Leadership Summit. It was a great opportunity of learning and getting enriched with diverse leadership experiences across the globe. There were series of “take aways” including the following:
“Face your fears and you are on your way to overcoming it” “Failure is actually part of success so it is not the end of the road” “Vision is the ability to see hope in a mess and visionary leadership is the ability to offer direction to bring about change even in the midst of a mess” and “The challenge which arises whiles leading with integrity sharpens your mind and produces excellence in you”.
Pastors Conference
Another Pastors conference was organized by the Seed Ministry and the Larry MacFadden ministries with a focus on the life and preaching of the Pastor alongside lessons on worship. Samson successfully defended his title as the winner of the previous memory verse challenge by reciting all the 15 memory verses for the competition.
Training of Trainers
Samson was part of those selected and trained as Trainers for the Northern sector chapter of the Samaritan Strategy which is also a wholistic approach to development with emphasis on obeying the word of God and living it out on a daily basis in our communities. Lessons on biblical worldview that transforms every culture were study with a focus on the presentation of the full Gospel to all nations with a clear understanding of what the Kingdom of God is.
Discovery Bible Studies
The leadership cell Samson has been training have now fully began implementation of Discovery Bible studies in four homes with sounding homes joining to participate in the selected weekly lessons. Reports have so far been very encouraging with the hope of seeing conversions very soon.
