Ethiopia Update – December 2019
1. Mobilizing the local resources for our goat’s project
Pastor Taddesse and I have conducted a vision sharing meeting with few volunteers from different churches. We have shared with them that how God has been transforming many lives through our ministry in various projects and the huge needs of those projects.
They have touched by our presentations and asked us how are they going to engage. And we have showed them the different ways of engaging in our ministry. They were so exited to participate and we were able to raise 1,000USD. This fund will help us to purchase 20 goats for our orphans and vulnerable. We thank God for those people who have decided to work with us.

2. Consultation time with our local partners
Before we raised funds for our projects I have led a consultation session with our local and potential partners and shared with them about the responsibility of the local people for the work of God the importance of being a good steward for the resources that we have entrusted.
The participants had a very good group discussion time and conveyed their commitment to engage in the kingdom work. They have agreed that they are responsible to be part of God’s work to transform their own communities more than any other people from other places. That’s why they have donated 1,000USD for our goats’ projects. They said that this fund will be a very good present for our orphans and vulnerable children in the upcoming Christmas. Praise God.

3. Rev. Okongo’s short visit to Ethiopia
Rev. Okongo who is the founder and president of Unite 4 Africa did a short visit to Ethiopia in this past month. During the time he spent in Ethiopia He visited our local missionaries and gave word of encouragement for them. He a gave remark that even though the current situation of Ethiopia is very challenging but we as men and women of God need to stand firm in unity to bring peace and reconciliation for the country.
We were so happy and grateful for him to come to us and encourage us in this hard time of our situation.
In addition to that he empowered our key leaders and discussed on key strategic issues. Thank you Rev. Okongo for your leadership. May God bless you and your family as you continue serving Him. You are really our inspiration!

4. Prayer Requests
We are always grateful to God for all our partners who are standing alongside with us in prayers and support. We will continue keeping you updated of our work and our prayer requests.
Here under are some lists of our prayer requests: –
- Pray for the current situation of Ethiopia for may peace prevails in the country.
- Pray for our churches that are found in the places where conflicts occurred and may God enable us to reach them out to support them according to their needs.
- Pray for our annual “Christmas present” event that may God would enable us to show our love for our orphans and vulnerable children for Christmas. The small gift on that day can change the life one child significantly.
