Ghana Update-August 2018
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned, “said Jesus, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the Lord.” (John 9:3-5)
Introduction
We sometimes wonder why some things happen to us in life. However, Jesus is admonishing us that we have some things that take place just for one reason thus; to glorify God or that the works of God might be displayed in that particular situation. Jesus is the light of the world and anywhere we have darkness there is the need to invite the light into that darkness.
DMM Training
A three days Discipleship Making Movement took place in Tamale to equip Church planters and Missionaries on how DMM could be used to advance the kingdom work and see the Great Commission fulfilled through ordinary people.
Prayer Movement/Prayer
Our weekly prayer meetings that seek to mobilize believers to pray for revival and a great harvest is ongoing and we are hoping for its spread to several locations across the region. The weekly prayer had a boost with the one day prayer conference by the John 10:16 Group of which Samson is leading.
Updates on Goats Project
Iddi Ayuba is one of five children who lost their father two years ago. He currently lives with his Uncle and was part of the beneficiaries of the goat distribution project. According to the Uncle, this has been a great blessing and he is thankful that help came from somewhere to offer them hope for the future. The uncle said he will personally call us to come over to their community to take pictures of the multiplication that has taken place shortly as they were expecting a number of kids very soon.
There are others who are testifying of how family and school needs are met through the project and we shall present such stories in subsequent newsletters.
Bridges Training
Bridges training was organized at Adagbanja number one to help promote a better alternative for communicating with the oral cultural background people for a better understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
