Ethiopia Update-September 2017
Annual Youth & University students conference in Nazareth/Adama/ town
Ethiopia is a young country, with 45 percent of the population under age 15 and 71 percent under age 30(Ethiopia Census report 2008). Many believe that investing in young people (ages 10 to 29) now will lay the groundwork for Ethiopia’s future.
Besides providing educational opportunity particularly for girls, vocational trainings and small micro business loan we also organize a youth forum and conference for our youth to enhance their other life skills and build up their spiritual lives.
More than 50 young leaders and university students have participated on our annual youth conference that was held in Nazareth/ Adama/. Prayers, training on the topic of “World View”, group discussion on the challenges of youth were what our youth have engaged in the conference.
Mengistu Tenkolu, our youth leader in Nazarath said that our youth have been passing through lots of challenges such as unemployment, hopelessness, poverty, relationships challenge etc. But, this conference has helped them to see their situation differently and give them a tool to face their challenges and transform their lives by the Grace of God.
We Thank God for the good time He has given us to empower our youth.

Local missionaries Prayer, Training & Consultation Seminar in Welenchity Town
More than 200 local missionaries and church leaders have gathered together to attend our prayer, training & consultation seminar in Welenchity. These are the army of Jesus Christ who are being used by God to destroy the power of darkness, proclaiming the Gospel through persecutions and challenges, win thousands of souls for Christ every year and transform their communities.
I thank God for the opportunity that He has given me to be part of those army and minster, couch and mentor them. I salute and honor them with great respect.
We had a very wonderful time with them. I Praised God with them for what He has been doing through them and also I cried with them after listening their stories and the challenges that they are passing through. Moreover, I was inspired by their commitment and determination to press on to serve God regardless of their situation. I believe that their reward is waiting for them in heaven and one day the king of kings and the Lord of Lords will crown them by saying them that “You faithful servant WELL DONE!!!”
School Children have participated in planting trees project in Mojo.
What an incredible moment to see those KG students carrying trees and going to the field to plant it. This happened in Mojo town where one of our Kindergartens found. Our church in Mojo have initiated this project and mobilized the kids to get involved and teach them how it is important to protect their environment from disaster and keep it clean. We thank God for our kids.

Conclusion
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
II Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV
God is or comforter and strengthener whenever we pass through challenges, hardships and persecutions as we are serving Him faithfully. We have so much to say to our brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world that He needs to be praised and blessed even in our times of sufferings and challenges. Because as Paul says that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble. Let us comfort and pray one another as we continue serving Him together.
