Ethiopia Update- May 2017

we are always thankful for what God is doing among us and your faithful and continuous prayer and support. We always get encouraged when we think of God has given us partners like you who are found all over the world and lift us up in prayers every time. Goats support to our orphans

Last month we have distributed goats for 20 orphans in various villages such as boffa, Donni, Welenchity e.t.c. God is doing great things through this animal project. We have also visited a couple of orphans in Boffa village who received goats support a couple of years ago. Their goats reproduce more than 20 more other goats. Apart from providing food for themselves and taking care of other needs of them; those two orphans supported seed fund to one of our village churches to construct church locally. We thank God for that. The impact of this project is amazing.

Training in Bale – Robe

Bale – Robe is one of the areas that highly dominated by Muslim population. Our master trainer Pastor Tesfaye Shibiru went to those area and trained more than 20 young missionaries and leaders. Most of them are university students and have an amazing ministry to win many young people to Christ. Today many Muslims are coming to Christ miraculously. This training helped them learn how they can win more souls for Christ particularly Muslims.

Training in Dembidolo

Dembidolla is located in Eastern Wollega area in Oromia region. There is a great Evangelistic and church – planting movement taking place in this area. So far, we are able to plant more than 88 local village churches in this area.

The need for this area is equipping our leaders with the Biblical knowledge and skills of leadership.

Pastor Getahun Abebe was in Demibidolo and train more than 100 leaders and missionaries. This program was designed to equip our leaders who are living in far places. It will take them 2 years to complete the basic foundational teachings on the topic.

Conclusion

This is the time for God in Africa and Ethiopia in particular. Even though, we are passing through various challenges as a country, God is doing tremendous things. Winning souls for Christ, planting many more new churches, developing more leaders and transforming the lives of children and communities through various projects. We are engaging in Leadership training in our ministry to make sure that the movement continues and so we can cover many more areas and regions.
