Ethiopa Update – March 2015 – Samson Weldemariam – Country Director

I. Bridges ΙΙ training in Assosa Town.

One of our Master trainers Pastor Tesfaye has conducted Bridges ΙΙ training in Assosa town, Benishangul Gumuz region. The town is located more than 700 KM far from the capital Addis Ababa. By the grace of God we are able to plant 22 local churches in the region in past 5 years. 43 local missionaries & church leaders have attended the training.

II. Leadership development training in Debrezeit

We have also conducted the 2nd round leadership development training in Debrezeit town. Church leaders from 20 different towns and local churches participated in the training. This training is designed for our new emerging leaders to equip them in various biblical leadership skill and sound teachings of the Bible so that they will be able to leader our churches in healthy way.

In this time they took the training in the following titles: Healthy church growth based on the book of acts, personal leadership & development and motivational leadership.

III. Goats support for our orphans

We have supported 15 orphans by providing them goats in this time again. We have selected 10 orphans from Welenchity area and 5 orphans from Wonjishawa area. These orphans live with their grandmoms, neighbors and with our church members homes. We have got the budget from our Unite 4 Africa office USA. This project has brought huge impact in the lives of the children by helping them to become self-sustained child in the community.

Conclusion

I am always grateful to God for the opportunity He has given us to serve Him. I would also like to thank you all our partners for getting involved in the work of His kingdom. Please pray for us in the following prayer agendas: –

• Pray for our newly opened KG school project in Modjo. Most of our children do not have chairs and desks. They are learning just by seating down on the ground.

• Pray for our missionaries especially for those who are serving in Benishangul Region boarder of Sudan. We are struggling to cover their monthly expenses.

• Pray for getting more Bibles for our people. Especially there is so much scarcity of Bibles in Oromo language here in Ethiopia.
