Ethiopia Update – January 2016
Ethiopia Update – January 2016 – Samson Weldemariam – Director of Unite 4 Africa, Ethiopia
Dear Friends and partners, in the book of Luke 2:10-11 we read: “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”.
Wow, this is some awesome news! This is the Gospel, the good news to a fallen world and together we have succeeded one more year to reach the unreached and help the helpless!
The Lord has given us many wonderful victories this past year and we are looking back on 2015 with great joy. I’m thankful for all our work of Evangelism that thousands gave their lives to Jesus, the training that we have conducted and impacted thousands of leaders. I’m thankful for hundreds of orphans that experienced the Love & power of God; received restoration & rehabilitation. I’m also thankful for all our school projects that are shaping and impacting the future and destiny of thousands of our children.
As our partners, you are a big part of all this, without you nothing of this would be done. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND FINANCIAL GIFTS! We really want to express our appreciation to you for the past year and we pray for the Lord to give you an amazing harvest of all your seed!
- Our school projects
The progresses of our schools in many aspects are amazing. The number of students in Welenchity School has reached to 542. We are providing quality education in the town from KG1 up to grade 3. So far, we have built 16 classrooms for our students and 32 people are working in the school as staff including the teachers and school administration workers.
When we come to our Wonjo Showa School the number of students goes to 760 with total number of our staff 44. We have 30 classrooms in two school compound starting from KG1 up to grade 9th. Even though we are struggling to fulfill its standard, we have also library, computer and laboratory rooms for our students.
The school we have in Modjo and Donni towns are also growing encouragingly. Getting a compound and having standardize classrooms are some of the challenges we are facing in both towns. But, the impacts of those schools are amazing. Recently 17 parents accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior in Modjo town. These parents heard the Gospel through their children. We thank God for our children; God is using them to reach out their parents.

Various Training
In this past year we have trained thousands of church leaders and local missionaries all over the country even beyond. Bridges training, leadership development, family, youth and women are some of the trainings that we have conducted in this past year. We thank God for the Grace, the strength and the anointing that He has given us to enable us to do His work.
Even in this month our master trainers trained hundreds of church leaders in various towns. Pastor Tesfaye Shibiru went to Awasa and Asosa and trained leaders. God is doing great things in those regions.

Conclusion
We thank God for this past year for His amazing blessings and victory. We are now looking forward to the coming year! And we trust the Lord that we will definitely accomplish what we’ve already planned for the year 2016. We have great expectations from God that we are going to win thousands of souls for Christ, train thousands of church leaders and missionaries and impact & transform thousands of orphans and vulnerable children through our school, goats and other projects.
Please keep praying for us in the following prayer request: –
