Ethiopia Update- April 2017
Bridges for Neighbor and Women Training in Nazareth/Adma/, Ethiopia
We had a wonderful time with SIU team Mike and his wife Amanda. They trained 26 women and 30 men in the training called “Bridges for women” and “Bridges for Neighbors” in Nazareth/Adama/, Ethiopia.
All the participants of the training enjoyed the training and said that they have got a powerful tool to reach out their oral communities particularly Women and Muslims. The training was characterized by many practical exercises such as music, songs, drama and group discussions. By the end of the training the participants have come up with their implementation plans so that they will go and train more leaders in their respective areas and communities.
We also did a very good closing ceremony with prayers, songs, appreciation gifts and finally had a very good fellowship time with best Ethiopia coffee ceremony. We are always thankful to God to work with our partner SIU. May God bless Mike and his wife Amanda for their effort and commitment to minister us and provided this powerful tool.

EUCE annual general assembly meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Emmanuel United Church of Ethiopia is one of our best partners in Ethiopia. All Pastors and local leaders across the country gathered together representing over 360 local churches to pray, encourage each other and discuss on the current issues of the church and the country.
In this time we have discussed and endorsed the ethical code of our pastors and leaders. The assembly have understood and realized the importance of having ethical code for our leaders. All participants have agreed and believe that it will be one of the tools to protect our leaders and increase their reputation among their people and communities.

“ Book Donation day” for our Bible school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
God has given us our Bible school as an additional instrument that we can equip, prepare & mentor our leaders by the word of God. Currently, we have enrolled 15 students and they are doing very well in their studies. Since it is a new school there is a great need of getting sound books for our library and to be used by our students as a reference.
To be able to meet this need we have organized a “Book donation day” and have invited our friends and ministry partners to participate on the event so that they donate their books or support to buy books.
On that day we got thousands of various books. Some of our local churches, partners and individuals donated money so that we can buy books for our Bible College. We’ve come more than half way to reach our goal.
I take this opportunity to thank all our friends and partners for their support and prayers.
