Ethiopa Update – December 2013 – Samson Weldemariam – Country Director
“… “Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from your law.” (Psalm 119:18)
God’s law, God’s commands or God’s word is really a reflection of the character of God and the love of God. It is not only reveals what God is like and what he values, but it simultaneously reveals God’s protection for his people. His laws are not arbitrary, but life giving and life-sustaining.
As you read God’s word and as you look intently into God’s word, may you behold wonderful things there. May you see his character, may you see what he values and may you see his incredible love for you.
We are a witness here in Ethiopia and we have seen wonderful things from His word. We have seen that many people come to Him through the preaching of the Gospel. We have seen many lives being transformed through our training and discipleship program.
Here under are some of the reports among many activities that we have been doing this past month.
I. Regional Leadership Team meeting.
We have had a good time of meeting with our regional leadership team in Nazareth. We have discussed on our past achievements, Current challenges and on our future strategic plan.
We thank God for the successes that He has given us. And by His Grace we are able to plant many Churches in our region, many believers being disciple and many leaders being developed.
We have also noted that our biggest challenges are lack of adequate budget to conduct various trainings.

II. Master Trainers Training.
We called all Master trainers based on the scripture says ‘iron sharpens iron’. We had a good time to encourage each other and discuss to enhance our training ministry in our region. 20 master trainers and leaders of the Church attended on this event in Nazareth. We also prayed and discussed on various issues.
Pastor Yosef , Eva. Fasika and myself conducted and lead the meeting
III. Doni KG School graduation.
Recently we have graduated 18 children from KG to grade 1. We thank God for this new small beginning. What a joy to see orphans smile on that day of graduation.

IV. Doni KG School Teachers Training
We have also sent 2 KG school teachers from Donni village to training School in Nazareth to be trained so that they will get adequate knowledge and skill to teach our school children.
Addissie Shiferaw and Meseret Tulu are privileged by getting this opportunity. They have already started the training and hopefully they will finish the courses early next year.

V. Conclusion
We thank God for the Grace that He has given us to expand His kingdom in our region.
The followings are our prayer requests:
➢ Pray for us , may God would strengthen us to make more disciples so that the impact of the believers would show up in or community to draw many to Christ.
➢ Pray also for the Doni KG school , now we are planning to build good Toilet for the Children so that they will be safe from contaminating diseases due to lack of hygiene.
