1. A Fruit That Multiplies: Raising Leaders Who Transform Nations
Kale-Ab Alemu one of our master trainers in the Disciple-making movement here in Ethiopia, stands as a powerful testimony to the impact of intentional disciple-making. From a young age, he has been nurtured through consistent investment training, discipling, and mentoring. Today, we celebrate a significant milestone that reflects not only his personal growth but the fruit of a movement committed to raising Christ-centered leaders.
In a remarkable achievement, Kale-Ab has authored and launched a book in Amharic titled “The Teaching of the Messiah,” based on the teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. This work is especially meaningful because it addresses a critical gap where there are very few resources available in the Amharic language that deeply explore this foundational teaching of Christ.

This book is more than a publication; it is a tool for transformation. Many who attended the launch affirmed that it will serve the Ethiopian Church as a vital resource for advancing disciple-making movements across the nation and beyond. It provides biblically grounded teaching in a language that is accessible to many, equipping leaders and believers to live out the teachings of Jesus more faithfully.
The launch event took place in Adama (Nazareth), hosted at Kale-Ab’s home church, Adama Genda Hara Emmanuel United Church. It was a significant gathering marked by the presence of church leaders, pastors, Bible school teachers, and disciple-making movement leaders. The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and anticipation for what God will do through this resource.
Many pastors expressed their deep appreciation and encouragement, highlighting how inspiring it is to see a young leader stepping into this space to address the urgent need for disciple-making materials. They recognized this book as a timely and strategic contribution to strengthening the Church in Ethiopia.
The event itself was centered on prayer, worship, and blessing dedicating the book and its impact into God’s hands. It was a moment of thanksgiving, acknowledging that this achievement is ultimately the Lord’s work through a life surrendered to Him.
We give thanks to God for this incredible milestone. Kale-Ab’s journey reminds us that when we invest faithfully in people, the fruit will not only grow it will multiply and impact generations.
2-Stronger Together: Advancing Disciple-Making Across Africa
Collaboration remains at the heart of advancing God’s Kingdom. This past March 2026, I had the privilege of participating in a significant gathering of African Disciple-Making Movement (DMM) leaders in Lomé, Togo. This Leadership Challenge Summit brought together more than 35 key leaders from across the continent, each carrying a shared passion to see disciples multiplied in their respective nations.

Over four impactful days, we engaged deeply—sharing best practices, learning from one another’s experiences, and honestly addressing the challenges we face in different regions. It was a rich time of mutual sharpening, where wisdom flowed across cultures and contexts, strengthening our collective vision for disciple-making in Africa.

A central focus of our time together was leadership development. We reflected on five essential leadership practices: modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, encouraging the heart, and enabling others. Together, we explored how these principles are not just leadership concepts, but are clearly demonstrated in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. This alignment with Christ’s example brought both clarity and conviction as we seek to lead in ways that honor Him and empower others.
Beyond learning and discussion, the summit was marked by powerful moments of prayer, worship, and genuine fellowship. These times allowed us not only to connect as leaders but also to be spiritually renewed. We left refreshed, encouraged, and united with a renewed mandate—to faithfully pursue the Great Commission and make disciples of all nations, with a particular focus on Africa.
This gathering was a reminder that we are not alone in this mission. God is raising leaders across the continent, and through collaboration, shared vision, and Christ-centered leadership, we are seeing His Kingdom advance in powerful ways.
