Note from the Board- February 2017
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth”. 1st John 3:18
This is an amazing verse! It speaks volumes to those of us who have supported Unite 4 Africa over these last number of years. I well remember my first touch with U4A as I joined them to teach Biblical sexuality and the sanctity of human life to scores of pastors and ministry leaders.
As an observer and then participant it became very evident to me that their involvement and activity with the attendees didn’t stop with the prose but rather their involvement was accelerated as plans were made on the spot to visit and serve new communities with U4A’s life giving messages. It was evident that the attendees’ enthusiasm increased as they embraced the lessons being taught and began thinking about applications for what they learned in their villages and within their people groups.
Unite 4 Africa’s involvement didn’t stop there either. As the conference disbanded, a number of conference leaders joined together to visit Christian brothers and sisters in Ethiopia who needed more than a touch of encouragement. Traveling the roads through the towns of Ethiopia was exhilarating, mysterious and very interesting but also a cause for caution. With foreigners in their midst, we were no doubt the center of focus and discussion among those we passed or intermingled with, God enabled each of us to be the very people we needed to be with each encounter.
What is really interesting is that these roads have been travelled by U4A before. The ministry was recognized and largely welcomed. Unite 4 Africa is a ministry that doesn’t abandon or leave those who have received God’s word through them. As a result the people respond with gratitude for what has become a permanent relationship. Modeling God’s love for each person served brought great gains for the Kingdom.
It seems there is great love for Unite 4 Africa as it shares God’s love with the people. Please do all that you can to support the mission of Unite 4 Africa. It is producing eternal dividends.
