Kenya Updates – March 2022
MEDICAL CLINIC OUTREACH – MAILITISA
In the month of February we organized a medical outreach, which many needy people were treated with lots of infections including tooth, eye problems, ganycologies and surgery for minor tumors. This was a program that was going on before C0vid19 pandemic. we noticed that there are a lot of people with the minor tumors among the Maasai community. We are yet to find out if it’s a genetic or its caused by something else. We thank God to be part of community transformation and help bring healthy society. More than one thousand people were treated with different ilnesses

DIGNITY PADS FOR GIRLS – EMPUKANI
The Maasai girls continue to suffer in silence for lack of sanitary pads and for challenges they go through on Fgm. Many parents are yet to understand or are unable to buy for their daughters the pads. We go to these communities talk to women and empower the girls with sanitary pads, which will help them be in school at that time of the month. We thank our partner Hami Imani Africa for coming to walk along side us as we empower the girl child and women.

EMPOWERING NEEDY FAMILIES – LUMBWA
Because of the failed rains in some parts of maasai, the most needy families were affected by the draught and animals migrating for such of pasture and men are away with the cows. The Church came in to support with food. We thank God the rains are here and cows are coming back home. The climate change has affected the rainy seasons so they are no longer predictable and with no good rainfall.
