A Head Start for a Family Through Goats for Orphans Project in Kitui County
Last November, Emmanuel Kiema together with his two siblings, all benefited from the goat project. Emmanuel, the youngest among the three children, had his goat give birth first. He likes and plays with his two goats many times as his older siblings go to school. The birth of the kid has already brought some benefits not only for Emmanuel but the entire family because the milk produced is used to make their tea. Due to economic challenges, Emmanuel’s family were previously unable to enjoy milk but now they have some milk every day without needing to buy it. The brother’s goat is just about to give birth and clearly, the family is now set for better days since the extra milk will be sold. We are expecting a gradual and total shift for the better for these children whose father died last year and was the family’s sole breadwinner. They live with their widowed mother who struggles to get jobs in the village.
U4A partners are truly helping orphans and vulnerable children not only to feel appreciated but also to have them provided for. May God richly reward you for your continued support.

Dignity Pads for Girls in Mwenzengi Comprehensive School
For teenage girls to confidently manage menstruation with dignity, period poverty must be addressed and practical interventions put in place especially among the urban and rural poor. U4A prioritizes reproductive health knowledge in adolescent girls and dignity pads are a small but impactful tools to practical care.
We had an opportunity to have a talk and gift girls in Mwenzengi Comprehensive School with dignity pads. The feedback from some of the girls paints a picture of relief and freedom from the embarrassment that comes from leaks and stains whenever these hygiene products are not provided for. Of course, this in turn boosts their concentration and confidence while at school. These girls are receiving dignity pads today but, in the future, they may be the ones gifting other girls as they remember what it meant to them, and the gift goes on and on. Thank you U4A partners for your support that we believe will have ripple effects into the days ahead.

Bibles in Maasai Language Births Bible study Groups in Maasai Community
Bible reading in their local language improves comprehension and impacts individuals and communities at large. Believers in Christ in Namunyak and Impoori communities respectively received a copy of The Bible in their mother tongue through U4A partners’ generosity. This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to equip New Believers with the Word of God and guiding them in their journey of faith. The purpose of distributing these Bibles is to ensure that each New Believer has access to the Holy Scriptures, allowing them to grow in their relationship with God through personal study, prayer, and application. This gives the Maasai Believers an opportunity to be like the Bereans in Acts 17, not only eager to listen to the teachings of the Word of God but to also search out the Scriptures by themselves.
The recipients were very thankful. Penina Rikinoi and Daniel Yiakon shared their gratitude and excitement on receiving their very first Bible. The distribution of Bibles has already begun strengthening the spiritual foundation of the New Believers. Bible study groups have been formed to support their continued growth and understanding of the scriptures.
The blessing of receiving Bibles in their own language and the eagerness to read them is clearly visible.

Evangelism – Mt. Kilimanjaro Area
In recent years, we are seeing a slow explosion of church planting in many Maasai communities in Kenya, as Unite 4 Africa church planters boldly declare the Word of God. Unite 4 Africa is committed not only to train and but also to empower leaders to bring people to the knowledge of Christ and also make them disciples in obedience to great commission given by Jesus Christ.
Last month we did an evangelistic outreach together with leaders who have been discipled at the Loitokitok, Mt. Kilimanjaro area. Going forward a church planting movement will be picking up in this area. The leaders are ready and willing to reach out to their community with the love of Christ knowing it will take enduring long treks under the hot sun to do so. Your prayers for them will be greatly appreciated!
