BAPTISM FOR NEW BELIEVERS – OLOSHAIKI
This month we witnessed the baptism of 16 new believers in Christ. They came from Oloshaiki community to Zion Church because of shortage of water in their community. Elijah was one of those who were baptized. This is what he testified about it: “After being taught on water baptism in our church, I expressed to our Pastor my desire to be baptized. On the material day, I felt so excited and was among the first to arrive at Zion Church. After baptism, I felt the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit and my heart was overwhelmed and I just found myself crying the tears of joy as I reflected on the washing away of my sins. I feel relieved from the baggage of sin and as a new believer, I’m full of strength to proclaim the goodness of God.” Please pray for these new believers that the Lord may continue to water them with the Holy spirit and His Word into maturity in Christ.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING – MAILITISA
In the spirit of strengthening and empowering Church leadership, Unite 4 Africa continues to have leadership training in individual communities. In the recent training at Mailitisa, pastors and church leaders learned more about their roles and responsibilities in the church and the community. The leadership lessons were drawn from the book of Romans and centered around God’s sovereignty and the leader’s responsibility. They left transformed, motivated and inspired to continue serving the church and the community. Much appreciation goes to our U4A partners for choosing to get involved in impacting individuals and communities. Thank you.

MEN’S OUTREACH IN EWANGAN, NAMANGA
The Maasai community had in the past held to the myth that the church and the gospel is for women, children and the poor. But this wrong belief is being busted. In the month of May, Unite 4 Africa Kenya leaders organized a four-day men’s outreach at Namanga where more than six hundred men were in attendance.
Greater still, three hundred and nineteen surrendered their lives to Christ and have joined local fellowships in the community. Peter Sempeta, an elder and also a senior government official in the community attended all the sessions and expressed his gratitude, citing the need to have such men gatherings once or twice a year. As the Outreach Director, I couldn’t agree more. There are many more men and communities that are yet to be reached with the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. All the praise and glory goes to God for such an impactful meeting. Much thanks and appreciation to all our ministry partners for diligently continuing to support, encourage, serve, pray and be a blessing through Unite 4 Africa.

CHILDREN MINISTRY, MURANG’A
Alongside the spiritual empowerment of adults, U4A Kenya leadership is also focusing on children. This is a way of ensuring that the purposes of God are passed on to the next generation.
After the training of Children ministers in the month of April, it was time to implement what was learned. In this season, we are teaching the children what is also being taught in the adult services. The teachers have been prayerfully and creatively considering real-world illustrations and ensuring they prepare and teach biblical truth age appropriately.
We encourage the parents to discuss the lesson further with the children at home. Jane, one of the parents at church has three children in different age groups, and had this to say, “the teaching is wonderful because when we are revisitng and discussing with my children at home, we are on the same page though at different levels. This has greatly enriched our family’s altar time.”
“Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.” (Psalms 112:2)
