Ghana Updates – June 2023

“On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” (John7:37-38)

INTRODUCTION

There is something special about Jesus that when discovered will surely cause some shifting to happen in one’s life. The potential to have anyone who thirsts to have rivers of living water flowing through her/him is assured in Jesus Christ. All what is needed is come to Him with one’s thirst and He will surely not just quench it alone but cause rivers of living water to flow through that individual. May we be willing to run to Jesus Christ for a drink.

LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Pastors and Church leaders across the Savelugu Municipality were gathered in collaboration with the Local council of Churches to four days of equipping that is not limited to just theoretical information but how to practically live out the Christ-Like life expected of true Disciples of Jesus Christ. Practical exhibition of Christ’s love to one’s immediate family and neighbors was the focus before moving to the bigger picture. It was exciting listening to testimonies such as “I have a neighbor who is an unbeliever whom I saw to be a border to me but after the first training we had I gladly shared my tubers of yam with her and I could not believe the countless thank you’s I received from her. I must confess that this is indeed, a true transformational training. As a result of treatment received from the unbelievers in my extended family, I took a decision not to have anything to do with them but as a result of this training I went to the family house very early to find out how they are faring and real joy was brought between us again,” says one the Pastors.

CHURCH PLANTERS AND DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING

Three different trainings of Church Planters and Disciple Makers were carried out in the Upper West Region of Ghana, Northern Region and Volta Region of Ghana. In all over hundred participants took part in these trainings. It is amazing how simple tools given by our Lord Jesus Christ can bring about the needed transformation and draw people to Himself even in difficult areas. We continue to celebrate the ever-present assurance of our Master that He is with us till end of the age.

GOATS PROJECT

It always amazes me to see little gifts of goats transform not just the life of an orphan but an entire family which hitherto, had lost hope of a brighter future.

RADIO BROADCAST

Pastor Maina had the privilege to share a word of hope during his visit in our weekly program dubbed Seed of Hope Broadcast. He spent time to tell listeners that it does not matter their current state but what matters most is what God has said about them for He has made all persons in His own image. Knowledge of what God thinks about you has the power to change one’s life. One of the listeners called in and said, ‘I am truly encouraged because for me I have been looking at what I don’t have in life.’

Prayer Needs

• Thank God for journey mercies for moving across the nation for various types of trainings for different categories of leaders.
• Continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will touch the hearts of all the listeners in the weekly radio broadcast.
• Thank God for the successful trainers’ conference in Lomé Togo.
