Ghana Update – October 2024

‘And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. ‘ (Ephesians 2:6-9)

INTRODUCTION

The Lord has been gracious to us and what a privilege to know that God has raised us up with Christ and that we are saved by His grace through faith. It is our prayer that this grace will be accepted by many more people across nations.

SEED OF HOPE BROADCAST

The Seed of Hope Broadcast continues to make significant impact on lives across regions in Northern Ghana. Sometimes it is amazing to hear people talking about what the program has done in their lives. We are now having people call from communities or distances that we never thought the radio frequency had the power to reach.
Recently at a program in a community a woman signaled and began to talk. “I didn’t know that you are the one who has been speaking on the Seed of Hope Broadcast, I have just been informed.” She continued “I want to say thank you for the Broadcast. Every week we are eager as a family to finish every available work to offer us the opportunity to listen and be blessed by the Word of God”. A Pastor was sharing with Samson what a listener to the weekly broadcast has told him. The listener was recounting how blessed they are following the teachings of the broadcast and was able to share about the series that were being studied at the time that he was sharing with the Pastor.

LEASDERSHIP A CRITICAL NEED

Leadership is what is actually drives almost everything around us in our world. It is needed in every facet of life including the Church. It has been a challenge raising the right kind of leaders to deal with the various needs confronting us as people. Samson has been engaged in the intentional raising of leaders across various sectors both at the community grassroots level and for the kingdom of God. This has placed a great demand on him with regards to his inputs in many areas.

EMPOWERMENT THROUGH THE GOAT PROJECT

The goat project initially was not seen to be something that could bring about a lasting impact on a life but as the days go by, we are seeing it impact not just a life but families and communities. A beneficiary’s family member recently met me and said, “ I am going to look for feed for animals,” and then she added, “ By now you might not remember, but I pray that you will find time and come see the progress and impact of that gift on the family. “
Samson has also been invited to come over and see the practical life change that has been experienced by individual recipients and their families in the Kumbungu District.

PRAYER NEEDS

• Pray for the nation of Ghana as the political parties intensify campaigns for the December elections. Pray that peace will reign before, during and after the election and that God will guide the citizens to make rightful choices.
• Thank God for the Seed of Hope Broadcast and pray that the Lord will continue to use the program to reach out to many souls for the Kingdom.
• Pray for Samson as he makes another trip to Sierra Leone to facilitate some trainings.
