Ghana Update-October 2017
“Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalm 100:3)
Abidjan Million Village Challenge (MVC)/CHE Conference
Samson was called upon to participate and do presentations on behalf of the CHE West Africa Director in the Million Village Challenge/ CHE Conference in Abidjan Cote D’Ivoire. It served as learning and networking platform for improved operations in Ghana.
Chentiwuni is Ready to Donate a goat
This is what one the beneficiaries of the goats project had to say: “My name is Chentiwuni and I live in a community know as Janjori-Kukuo in Northern Ghana. I am a beneficiary of the Goats project of Unite 4 Africa in partnership with the Pantano Christian Church. I was given two goats and by the grace of God now I have seven goats with some expecting to have kids. I have told my uncle that I will give one to my stepmother’s daughter who is also an orphan. I am grateful for this great show of love to me and I know my life will never be the same again”.
Mohammed’s Uncle is Thankful and Hopeful for a future
When Mohammed was brought to me as an orphan from his father’s home to be integrated into our family I just trusted God to help us to do our part in providing his needs. I was so worried about his education or school expenses. Little did I know that such a gift would come our way. Words cannot be used to express our heartfelt gratitude for this wonderful gift that has brought a lot of hope to us for a better future for Mohammed and the entire family. As a result of this gift, the family of Mohammed has gone beyond just his extended family to cover those who have supported us with the gift.
International Baptist Women Ministry Annual Conference
Samson was one of the speakers at the International Baptist Women Ministry’s annual conference as a means of offering leadership to the women’s wing of the Ghana International Baptist Convention. The theme was “Be strong confident and courageous” Joshua 1:6-7. The women were challenged to practically use the strategies of Joshua for their homes and individual ministry callings.
Prayer Needs
- Appreciate God for a successful trip and conference in Abidjan.
- Continue to pray for more grace as we meet CHE program implementers in Northern Ghana this month for the formulation of strategies to scale up CHE for wholistic transformation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Keep praying for orphans receiving goats through the partnership between U4A and Pantano Christian Church that they will be healthy and multiply to be a blessing for them.
