Ghana Update-February 2018
“I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave a firm place to stand.” (Psalm 40:1-2)
Introduction
What a great joy to be part of what the Lord is doing in this 2018. We want to once again appreciate all the partners of U4A for standing with us in this journey of contributing our part in what the Lord is doing in the nations. It is our hope that greater prospects of real transformation for individuals and communities will be witnessed in this year.
Team Meeting
The Team met to look ahead and see how best activities of the year could be carried out effectively and efficiently. The team discussed the possibility of raising funds to continue to carry out Bridges training. Consideration was also given to targeting the North – Eastern part of Northern Ghana for the implementation of both Bridges Training and Community Evangelism. The hosting two separate short-term mission teams this year was also considered.
Planning for work on the “Other sheep”
Isaac and Samson were part of the John 10:16 group which met a couple times to plan on bringing the Churches in Tamale and Northern Ghana together to work on ways to get the other sheep who are still outside the fold into the fold. A prayer conference is therefore, being planned for latter part of the first quarter of the year.
Sustainability
The Ghana Team will be considering ways by which some sustainable sources of funding can be found to augment what U4A has been doing in other to ensure sustainability as well as local ownership for the transformation that U4A and the team desires for individuals and communities across Africa.
