Ethiopia Updates – June 2022
1. Another great Mass – Baptism Event.
God has given us another great mass- baptism event with the Unite 4 Africa Team. More than 400 people got baptized in the river Awash. This is the evidence that God still continues working among us and draws many people to Him through the preaching of the true Gospel. Those people have come from more than 10 various villages of Boset & Adama districts of Oromia region in the central part of the country.
Rev. Dr. Okongo Samson, Founder and President of Unite 4 Africa together with the team from USA attended this great event. He also gave a very powerful word of encouragement to the people and to our leaders.

We also donated 400 Bibles to the new converts that is translated in their language. The team from the USA participated in giving out Bibles to the people and it was a very exciting experience to see the joy of the people in the presence of God. We also provided all the participants with local bread and bottles of water for their lunch after the baptism.

We were super excited to be part of this great revival and we thank God for what He has been doing among us. I also take this opportunity to thank Rev. Dr. Okongo for his leadership and for empowering our leaders in every aspect of their lives so that now they are fruitful in their lives and ministry.
2. Empowering Orphans through our Animal Project.
Supporting our orphans is the ongoing work that we have been doing in the past many years of our ministries. We have seen the impacts of this project in the lives of our orphans and our communities at large. Just in the past month the team from the USA, led by Rev. Dr. Okongo, were able to participate in giving out goats to orphans who are placed in families and are entrusted with a stewardship. What a joy to be a witness of how God uses such a small gift and transforms the lives of those precious children and gives them hope and bright future.

3. New Organic Farming Project Kick off.
Pastor Taddesse Alemayehu is our regional coordinator in Ethiopia. He, together with myself, see the needs of the communities we have been ministering to. The majority of the people in the villages are farmers. But their land has become barren as a result of using chemical fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides. Also, the price of chemical fertilizers is continuing to increase these days and our farmers cannot afford to buy it.
So, we came up with the idea of training & introducing our farmers about organic farming. Just last week Pastor Peter Jhon Mlay from Tanzania came and shared their experiences with us about how they produce natural fertilizers and the process of healing the land.
Now, our farmers have received this new way of farming and we believe that this is going to be a great total community transformation in the region and in the entire nation. We thank God for this great work.
