Ethiopia Update – November 2019
1. Jesus’s way of discipleship Training in Nazareth/Adama/
The issue of discipleship is the current need of the African church. As we aggressively do evangelism and church planting we also don’t forget the very essence of the great commission, which is the making of disciples. In our ministry experience we have observed that the more we have true disciples the more evangelism and church planting activities accelerate. Because, true disciples have an impact in the lives of non believers not only in words but also by exhibiting them Christ like life.
So, in partnership with the J-life ministry Africa we trained our leaders the Jesus’s way of discipleship. More that 25 leaders have attendee the training in the town Nazareth/Adama/. This was the 3rd round training and our leaders were so exited about the approach of the training and it is very similar with what we have been doing in our ministry. The modules and the training materials are very helpful to train others. We thank God for this opportunity.

2. The progress of our school in Boffa.
As I mentioned in my previous report; our school in Boffa is one of our newly opened school in our region. More than 500 children are attending in this school from KG to grade 2. We started this school by building class rooms made with the local materials like wood and mud.
By the donation that we got from Rev. Okongo and his wife Shyla we are able to build three additional classrooms. So far, the students were in a wooden shade and exposed for winds and sun and it was difficult to attend their classes. But, now they are in their new class rooms which is relatively comfortable for the teaching and learning process. We thank God for our leader Rev. Okongo and his wife Shyla for the passion they have for little children and for their sacrificial gifts.
After the completion of the construction of the class rooms Pastor Buruse who is the pastor of our local church in Boffa said they number of students have increased by 50% and the reputation and influence of the church has increased in the community. As a result of this; hundreds of parents come to Jesus through our school project.

3. Our Bible School Graduation of ceremony in Debrezeit
One of the tools that we are using to accelerate our evangelism and church planting movement is our mobile Bible school. We have trained more than 1,000 church leaders and church planters in the past seven years. This is a program which we equip our leaders and ministers with basic Christian doctrine and Biblical leadership concept and skills. The program is design for those who are ministering in remote areas and have not access for training.
Just few weeks ago we have graduated 22 ministers who are from different denominations and villages. We believe that this training will help our leaders to serve our churches in a better way. Praise God!
