Ethiopia Update – July 2016
I. The Impact of our goat’s project
An eight-year girl called Ayantu Feyisa is one of the beneficiaries of our goat project. She lost her father due to liver cancer when she was an infant. Her father was a non-believer and he was highly addicted by Alcohol. Her mother, Gishu Kelecha was a spirit-possessed woman and witchcraft. Every time the evil spirit manifested in her she fall down on the ground for several hours. Due to that reason her right hand & leg becomes half paralyzed. But, after she has accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior she got delivered from the evil spirit totally.
Three years ago Ayantu got the privilege to get supported by a sheep. We deliver goats and sheep to the area depending on which is more suitable. So, Ayantu was given a sheep and God has blessed her and with in the past three years she is able to reproduce 21 sheep. It is an amazing blessing for her and for her mom. She sold 10 of them and bought cloths, food, and school supplies. Her mother built a small mud-house for them with the money they made from the selling of the sheep. I saw 11 sheep in her compound while I visited them. I thank God for the impact of our goat project.

II. Mass Baptism again
Harvesting souls for the kingdom of God is still continuing in Welenchity and the surrounding towns. Three months ago we have baptized 500 people, again in the month of April/2016 we have baptized 800 and just last month we have baptized 620 people again. What an amazing God we serve!
Ali Biratu, former Muslim, was one of the people who took the water baptism in this event. According to his testimony he tried all his best by practicing all the Muslim rituals and religious activities to get inner peace. But, all those practices did not help him to give him what he was looking for. Finally he decided to read the bible but he did not have bible. So, he went to his Christian neighbor and asked him for Bible. His neighbor has got the opportunity of getting the donated Bible last year. And he loaned him his Bible. Ali read the Bible and the story of the life of Jesus has touched his life. He understands Jesus in very different way than he used to know Him from Islamic teachings. And finally he decided to accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior. And He got baptized. He said that he feels that he is really born again. Thank God for His salvation.

The churches in our region have brought a huge impact transforming lives, families and communities through various projects. ALEM HABETE is one of our beneficiaries of our small micro business project. She is working in the open market in Welenchity with her husband Legese Gudeta. They have got small money to start a small business of selling crops.
God has blessed them and today they are able to build their own house and bought a small vehicle to transport their crops for their customers. We thank God for this family!

In my conclusion I would like to ask you to pray in the following areas: –
• Thank God for our Aggressive church workers, leaders and missionaries.
• Thank God for the success of our goat and small micro business projects.
• Pray for our school in Wonjishowa. The teachers are leaving the area because of looking for better monthly salary. Now we are looking for people who are willing to sponsor our children so that we will be able to pay better salary for our teachers in order to retain them.
• Pray for the expansion of our projects so that we may impact the lives more people in our communities.
