Ethiopia Update – April 2016

Progress of our School project in Donni

The construction of building 5 new classrooms in Donni village is going on very well. We can say that we have come half way to complete the work. This project is very important that it will benefits 326 students to get access of education in the village. It also creates job opportunity for more than 15 people including those youths who produce bricks. We thank God for this great provision.

We would also like to thank you so much PCC/Pantano Christian Church/ for partnering with us in this great project.

Bridges training in Dembidollo & Jimma Nunu

We are keep doing conducting Bridges training aggressively even in this New Year. One of our Master trainers Pastor Tesfaye Shibiru went the western part of Ethiopia in place called Dembidollo and Jimma Nunu. He trained more 150 Church leaders in both villages.

God is doing great things in that region and the number of churches planted in the region reaches to 90. The Bridges training takes the Lion share in advancing the kingdom of God in the region.

Leadership development program

One of our strategies to accelerate the movement is to develop and empower our leaders. Leadership development is one of our programs to equip our leaders in various Biblical leadership skills and character. This is a one-year program and the leaders come to the training center in every three months and train for five days.

Last year we have trained 20 selected and influential leaders and send them back to their respective areas to multiply others. We have also started the 2^nd round group in this year. Another 20 leaders from various regions of the country have come and attended the training. It was an impactful program and we have seen that God is using these leaders amazingly to transform their community.

Conclusion

 

God is always faithful in His promises and words. The transforming & life-changing power of His word is so real in our ministry. We are His witnesses for what he is doing in various villages and communities in Ethiopia. The followings are our thanks-giving and prayer request issues of the work in Ethiopia.

• Thank God for the Donni community for opening the door of salvation for the people.
• Thank God for PCC for their generous heart and standing along side with us to support this work. May God bless them abundantly and expand them in every aspect as God’s Church.
• Pray for our draught affected villages. May God would provide them rain and support specially for children & women.
• Pray for all our churches & projects that May God strengthen our ministers and gospel works as they laboring in His kingdom.
