Dignity Pads for Girls Empowerment – Mailtisa

During the month of August, we had the privilege of reaching out to and empowering girls through the distribution of dignity pads, made possible through the generous support of Unite 4 Africa and its partners.

This initiative went beyond providing sanitary products. It was an important step towards restoring dignity, confidence, and hope among girls. Access to menstrual hygiene products enables girls to manage their menstrual cycles with greater comfort and confidence, helping them remain active in school, participate in community activities, and pursue their dreams without unnecessary barriers.

We are grateful to have witnessed the joy and appreciation among the girls who received the dignity pads. For many, this simple yet meaningful support reassures them that their wellbeing matters and that there are people who believe in their potential. Every pad given represents an opportunity for a girl to face each day with greater confidence and dignity.

We sincerely extend our heartfelt appreciation to Unite 4 Africa and all its partners for standing with these girls and investing in their wellbeing and future. Your generosity is making a tangible difference in the lives of young girls and helping to create a community where every girl can grow, learn, dream, and thrive with dignity.

Women’s Healing Retreat – Mailitisa

During the month of August, we had the privilege of bringing women together for a Women’s Healing Retreat held at Zion Church, Mailtisa, under the theme “Restored by Grace: Healing, Hope & Wholeness in Christ.” The retreat was anchored on Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

The retreat provided a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered space where women could step away from the pressures of everyday life and seek God through prayer, worship, biblical teaching, reflection, fellowship, and personal ministry. The women were encouraged to bring their burdens, pain, disappointments, and hopes before God and trust Him for healing and restoration.

We are especially grateful to Dr. Okongo, President of Unite 4 Africa, and the US team for the powerful, inspiring, and life-changing teaching they shared during the retreat. Their biblical insights, encouragement, and commitment to seeing women restored strengthened the hearts and faith of many participants. Their ministry reminded us that God’s grace is sufficient and that no matter what a woman has gone through, there is always hope for healing, restoration, and a new beginning in Christ.

The retreat was a meaningful time of spiritual renewal, encouragement, healing, and fellowship. The women were reminded that their past does not define their future and were encouraged to embrace their identity in Christ, release past hurts, renew their hope, and walk confidently in the purpose God has for their lives.

We sincerely appreciate Unite 4 Africa, Dr. Okongo, the US team, Zion Church, Mailtisa, and everyone who contributed to making this retreat possible. Your support and ministry helped create an environment where women could encounter God, find renewed hope, and begin or deepen their journey toward wholeness.

We believe that when a woman is restored, hope is restored in her family, strength is renewed in her community, and a brighter future becomes possible. May the seeds of healing, hope, and faith planted during this retreat continue to bear lasting fruit in the lives of every woman who participated.

DAUGHTERS OF THE KING: WALKING WITH OUR DAUGHTERS

Daughters of the King rescued, restored, equipped, empowered, and sent.

We give God all the glory for another powerful Daughters of the King Retreat at our Zion Community Training Centre. This was not simply another event, but part of an ongoing journey of walking with, discipling, healing, mentoring, and empowering girls whose lives have been affected by difficult circumstances.

Many of the girls we walk alongside have been rescued from early and forced marriages, the threat of FGM, school dropouts, toxic and abusive relationships, family challenges, poverty, and other situations that have placed their future at risk. Our desire is to help them understand that their past does not have to determine their future.

Through these retreats and our continued follow-up, we create a safe environment where the girls can encounter God, ask difficult questions, share their experiences, and discover their identity and worth in Christ.

MORE THAN A RETREAT

Our teachings go beyond simply encouraging the girls to attend church. We teach them about their identity in Christ, purity, godly relationships, making wise choices, forgiveness, healing from past wounds, overcoming rejection, discovering purpose, leadership, personal responsibility, and becoming women of faith and character.

We also challenge them to believe that they can rise above their circumstances, pursue education, develop skills, build healthy relationships, and become a blessing to others.

These are girls we have been walking with, not girls we meet once and leave behind. The retreat is one part of a continuing journey of discipleship, mentorship, protection, healing, and empowerment.

A STORY OF HOPE

One of the greatest joys of this ministry is seeing girls who once felt forgotten, rejected, or without a future begin to see themselves differently. Through consistent love, prayer, teaching, and mentorship, they are discovering that their lives have value and that their circumstances do not have the final word.

What may begin with a girl simply attending a retreat can become a journey toward healing, restored confidence, returning to school, making better choices, discovering her gifts, and believing again in the future God has prepared for her.

Every changed life reminds us that this ministry is worth continuing.

NOW, WE ASK YOU TO PRAY

Many have now returned to school, work, families, and their communities. Please pray that the seeds planted in their hearts will continue to grow. Pray for protection, spiritual strength, wisdom, healthy relationships, academic success, and open doors.

We are also praying about the next step: practical empowerment. Some of these girls need us to help them start something new through skills training, small businesses, education, mentorship, or income-generating opportunities.

Our goal is not only to rescue girls from difficult circumstances, but to walk with them until they can stand, thrive, and help others rise.

We believe every daughter has a God-given purpose. Together, through prayer, love, discipleship, and practical support, we can help them discover it and live it.

LIVING WATER A MIRACLE UNFOLDING AT OLOLEPO

What began as a prayer and a vision for our community is becoming a beautiful testimony of God’s faithfulness. The Ololepo Living Water Springs borehole project has continued through several important stages, and we are grateful to God for bringing us this far.

From the hydrological survey, drilling, reaching the water-bearing formation, installation of the casing, development of the borehole, and now pump testing, we have watched this project move from faith into something we can see and touch.

FROM DRILLING TO WATER

When the drilling began, there was great anticipation in the community. As the drill went deeper, we continued to pray and trust God for a reliable water source. Reaching water was a tremendous encouragement not only for the church and school, but for the wider community that has long faced challenges accessing clean and reliable water.

We have now completed the major drilling works and proceeded to pump testing, an important stage that helps determine the borehole’s sustainable yield and performance over an extended period.

During the testing, community members have already been amazed to see water flowing. People have come to fetch water, and their excitement has been a powerful reminder of why we began this journey.

MORE THAN A BOREHOLE

This water will mean much more than a successful construction project.

It will serve Ololepo and surrounding communities, including families, children, the school, livestock, and potentially help reduce the pressure that brings people and animals into competition for water.

For our school, reliable water will contribute to a healthier and safer learning environment. For families, it means less time and energy spent searching for water. For the community, it represents hope, dignity, health, and opportunity.

WE ARE ALMOST THERE

As we celebrate the progress, there is still work ahead. We need to complete the remaining infrastructure, including the water storage and distribution system, so that the water can reach the people and places it is intended to serve.

We are therefore asking our partners, friends, and supporters to continue praying and standing with us as we take these final steps.

Please pray that the borehole will prove to be a sustainable and reliable source of water, that God will provide the resources needed to complete the project, and that this water will become a blessing to thousands of people for many years to come.

THANK YOU

We deeply appreciate every partner and donor who has believed in this vision and helped bring it this far. What was once only a prayer is now producing water.

We are witnessing a living testimony: God can bring streams out of dry places.

“I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys.” Isaiah 41:18

The drilling brought hope.

The water brought joy.

The pump testing is bringing confirmation.

And soon, the Living Water will flow to the community.
