Our Mission & Vision

Unite 4 Africa unites, equips, mobilizes individuals and organizations to transform their communities spiritually, socially, physically, and economically. We desire to see grass roots movements sweeping across Africa, transforming communities, and bringing abundant life in Christ.

Our History

Unite 4 Africa, Inc. directed by Rev. Okongo Samson, began in 2005 after prayerfully seeking God’s heart and desire for Africa and the world. Okongo, who has served as a pastor and missionary around the world for the past eighteen years, has spent time in over 34 countries worldwide, and has endured the hardships of life as an apostle, thrown in prison several times. His heart and obedience led him to the most unreached and war-torn nations of the world. The mission of the organization was formed after exposure and experience to various situations throughout Africa, and prayerfully considering how to best address the needs of the people, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Unite 4 Africa encompasses the length breadth of Okongo’s 18 year ministry to date. Ole Okongo established many of the relationships and accomplishments described or alluded to in this web site prior to incorporating U4A. Unite 4 Africa, Inc. is incorporated in Arizona and is a tax-exempt/non-profit organization [501(c)(3)] entirely funded by charitable donations. The ministry as a Arizona corporation is young but the ministry of Rev. Okongo is the result of his life long dedication to bringing God’s transformation to Africa.

Our Outreach Strategy

1. United Prayer Movement

When we pray, God hears from Heaven and answers prayers. He is able to change the hearts of His people and do mighty transformations through the working of the Holy Spirit and by the power of His Word. Nothing is too hard for our God. United Prayer Movements are the backbone of church-planting movements.

2. Holistic Development - Empowerment, Not Dependency

We address the needs of a whole person: spiritual, physical, social and economically.Real community transformation must come from within the community itself. This can be facilitated from outsiders in the beginning, but successful community transformation initiatives must be owned by the community. U4A empowers communities to transform themselves.

Unite 4 Africa employs the transformational development strategy called Community Health Evangelism (CHE) by Ministry of LifeWind International. (U4A adopted CHE and called it Community Health Empowerment). At the heart of this strategy are volunteers within the community that go into homes and teach both spiritual lessons and physical lessons such as healthcare, micro-enterprise development, farming techniques, etc according to the felt needs of the community.

U4A summarized Community Health Empowerment strategy with five key principles:

  • Integration: spiritual and physical needs are addressed together, so the gospel’s relevance to the whole of life is clear and compelling
  • Participation: a community’s potential is mobilized through participatory learning methods, which build capacity and inspire cooperative action.
  • Ownership: each community controls its own program. CHE is not done for them, but with them. Local ownership enhances dignity and ensures lasting results.
  • Multiplication: knowledge, skills and technologies employed in CHE are transferable, so they can spread to other communities through local initiatives.
  • Sustainability: trained local volunteers serve as leaders, organizers, evangelists and health educators. CHE programs do not require endless funding.

This is done through community church and community transformation projects like Water projects, Medical aid/ mobile clinics, micro-business enterprises, support orphans and vulnerable children, and HIV/AIDS Awareness and education. These allow individuals, families, and entire communities to experience healthiness to the fullness.

3. Enhancing Multiplication in Africa

We work as a catalyst in often forgotten and neglected regions of Africa and the world. We empower the local churches of the region to finish the task of evangelizing every people group. We raise up workers for the harvest, equip them and send them out as community leaders and church planters to see rapid church multiplication. We support them in every possible way to become successful.

We seek to provide mobilization resources, which will allow the equipped local leaders to work with Unite 4 Africa in developing their own training materials that are consistent with and unique to their own culture.

We provide consultation and networking services to help the native Africans effectively develop and deploy national missionaries to the unreached people groups throughout Africa and beyond with strategies that are long lasting.

Our Faith Statement

We believe that there is one true God and Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of flesh by the virgin Mary, crucified on a Roman cross, raised from the dead three days later, and is now seated at the right hand of God. We believe that the Bible is the Inspired Word of God. We believe in the church and its mission. We believe that there be a final judgment in which the dead will be resurrected and judged according to their faith. Everyone whose name is not found in the Book of Life, along with the devil and his angels will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will be resurrected and stand at the judgment seat of Christ to be rewarded for their faith. We believe that God does not want anyone to perish but that everyone comes to repentance and that God’s authoritative Word details how we might be saved and grow in Him. We believe that the Holy Spirit budges, encourages, and moves us to act upon God’s calling in our lives. We believe biblical and mutually edifying relationships to be the foundation upon which effective ministry is built. We believe that the participation of local believers and grass root churches is crucial to the evangelization of their own people groups as they tell Bible stories. We believe that to remove the blindness of people’s minds against the gospel, strategic-level spiritual warfare must accompany all evangelistic and church planting movement efforts. We believe in the unity of the Body of Christ, and are willing to cooperate with any mission agency, church, or body wherever possible to express that oneness. We believe that to fulfill the Great Commission all believers should play a significant role in seeing the Gospel proclaimed and the Kingdom established in and among the unreached people groups in all the nations. We are to reach out and equip others for ministry based on Mark 16:15-16 and Ephesians 4:11-16.

Our Beliefs

In Gifts and Operations of the Holy Spirit.~ I Corinthians 12:3-113 “Therefore, I want you to know that no one who is speaking by God’s Spirit can say, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the Spirit is the same; 5and Now there are varieties of ministries, but the Lord is the same; 6and Now there are varieties of results, but God is the same, and it is he who produces all the results in everyone. 7To each person has been given the ability to display the Spirit for the common good. 8To one has been given a message of wisdom by the Spirit; to another the ability to speak with knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit; 10to another miraculous results; to another prophecy; to another the ability to distinguish between spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11But one and the same Spirit produces all these results and gives what he wants to each person.” In the Authority of the five-fold ministry. ~ Ephesians 4:11-13 “11And it is he who gifted some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, and still others to be pastors and teachers, 12to perfect the saints, to do the work of ministry, and to build up the body of Christ 13until all of us are united in the faith and in the full knowledge of God’s Son, and until we attain mature adulthood and the full standard of development in Christ.” In Giving Tithes and Offerings unto God. ~ Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need”.~ Hebrew 7:8“In the one case tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, by one of whom it is testified that he lives.” In Prayer Warfare. ~ Luke 18:1 “Jesus told his disciples a parable about their need to pray all the time and never give up.” ~ Ephesians 6:18 “Pray in the Spirit at all times with every kind of prayer and request there is. For the same reason be alert with every kind of effort and request for all the saints.” In Evangelism and water Baptism. ~ Matthew 28:18-20 “18And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”~ Acts 8:36-38 “36And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 38And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.”
