Unite 4 Africa, Inc. is overseen by an Executive Board of Directors that is comprised of individuals who are committed to the mission, vision, and integrity of the organization.

John Benson
Vice President

John Benson is married to Lacy Benson. They have three children: John Thomas, Haley, and JD. John came to know Jesus Christ is 1988 in Los Angeles, California at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, and in 1992 began to serve as a leader in the youth ministry. In 1994, he answered God’s calling on his life to preach the gospel by getting involved in a gang ministry for the youth of Los Angeles. In 1996, John and his family relocated to Tucson, AZ to be a part of Life in Christ Community Church, and in 1997, John was called to be the lead pastor at Life in Christ Community Church.

John’s education background includes two years at Eastern Arizona College, two years at University of Arizona, and is now currently enrolled at Trinity College of the Bible.

John’s passion is to reach out to the lost and hurting in his community and throughout the world, in order that they may be transformed into the image of Christ. This is done through various outreach ministries that affect the whole of the community. They run a feeding ministry out of the church kitchen that feeds hundreds of homeless and/or struggling men, women, and children three times a week. They host a “Reclaim” ministry aimed at those who are struggling with substance abuse, and the “Esperanza” ministry reaches out to the people of Nogales, Mexico. John also serves as the chaplain for the Pima County Jail, reaching out to those who have been incarcerated for various reasons. He is passionate about bringing pastors and churches in Tucson to have a corporative united prayer movement that will transform the communities, our city, our Nation and the world.

John is now excited to be a part of the team of Unite 4 Africa as the Vice president. Our battleground is also our playground! Let’s take the world for Christ!
