Dave Piper Board Member
David Piper has been married to Patti Piper for 37 years and they have 3 grown children, Andrea, Christopher, and Michael and one grandchild Eryn.
David graduated in 1975 from Montana College of Mineral Sciences and Technology with a BS in Mining Engineering. Following college, he worked for several large mining and engineering companies including Anaconda, AMAX, and Parsons. The nature of the business necessitated living in five different states for the first 10 years of his career.
David returned to Montana in 1981 to join his father, also a mining engineer, in a consulting business. For the next five years, David was blessed with the opportunity to work with his father and to develop interesting projects in the western United States. In 1986, David joined a new fledgling company called Meridian Aggregates as an Operation Manager in Seattle, WA.
Being on the ground floor of a growing business, his career progressed from Manager, to General Manager to Regional Manager and finally to Senior Vice President. In 2001, the business, now the 10th largest in the US, was sold to Martin Marietta and David left the industry and began focusing his energies on Kingdom work.
David and his wife found Pantano Christian Church in 1999 and have made it their church home ever since. David and Patti were drawn by God to Mexico missions and from 2002 to 2007 were mission Focus Team leaders for Mexico. They worked to develop partnerships in Mexico among the indigenous church and for a 2 year period, lived a third of the time in Mexico. The Pipers also organized and coordinated the annual Amor home building trip to Puerto Penasco for 5 years, seeing Pantano construct over 50 homes for needy families during that period.
In 2005, David joined the staff of Pantano as a part time ministry director focusing on Halftime Ministries. David helped many men nearing retirement work through their passions, skills, and gifts to discover what God has wired them for and where they might serve best in the Kingdom.
In 2007, David felt God calling in a new direction. A year of patient waiting and listening brought an incredible man of God across his path, Okongo Samson and Unite 4 Africa, Inc organization. Now David is the Board member of Unite 4 Africa, Inc bringing in His management skills to the leadership of the organization.
